Great stay with good food ! Service was excellent & we loved the cosy surroundings of the stay

This hotel is a lovely calm oasis with beautifully maintained gardens and beautifully appointed rooms. Comfy beds, tasteful decor. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great.

Lovely setting , good parking , fabulous staff , nice clean room and excellent food . We will definitely return .

In hot weather the front rooms are very hot. Windows don't open fully, and fan provided. Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough. Highly recommended.

Some rooms are in need of maintenance

Fantastic gardens, drinks great, but food was just ok. Bedroom was ok, but our room (number 4) was above the bar. Loud music was playing from the speakers in the bar until midnight confusingly the bar had closed at 22:30 and no staff were on the property. It went off just after midnight but frustratingly came back on at 7am. Mentioned to the manager at breakfast, who promised to provide compensation, but this was too late to salvage our night’s sleep. Such a shame - this place has real potential.

Un bel giardino e uno stagno. La manutenzione della proprieta' insufficiente , il locale era sporco ed il pavimento appiccicoso. Purtroppo alla mattina ho fatto anche la doccia con acqua fredda in mancanza di quella calda. La proprieta' ha potenziale . La gestione va implementata . Il prezzo della cena molto alto per quanto ordinato.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill. Good location as we were planning to catch the ferry from Lymington. Nice gardens. Very helpful staff especially Yan who was knowledgeable about the wines. Very comfortable bed and evening meals were delicious. Definitely would recommend for a relaxing stay

Great size room, very comfortable, faultless . Breakfast was just right and a selection . The Hotel is in a lovely setting also. Staff are excellent . Will be back !

Everything was wonderful.

Warn, Clean and comfortable. Room was spacious and equipped with a fridge and coffee maker. Staff were very friendly and helpful.... a pleasure to talk to. Restaurant was warn and inviting....especially with the log burners. Although a few more vegetarian options on the menu would have been great.

Lovely room, lovely staff, just wish breakfast started before 8am so I don’t have to rush it before meeting my client at 9am. Other than that I can’t fault it for the price point!

A little disappointed. After dining here on many occasions, I was looking forward to seeing what the hotel had to offer. I was in room 6. It is positioned facing the road. It was noisy with single glazed windows. The road is very busy. The hotel is also positioned on a bend in the road, so lots of traffic builds up and makes noise accelerating when driving off. This includes loud buses, lorries and motorbikes. The room is also immediately above access to the cellar / stores and you can expect lots of deliveries to start arriving from 6am. There was a very strange experience on the last night. Someone parked there and then entered the hotel at about 5am (no reception). They were trying to be discrete, but walked about the hotel for half an hour occasionally coughing and make the floorboards creak (a big issue throughout the hotel). The room is also next to the recycling collection point and it’s noisily collected early in the morning. The walls in the room could be made of paper. You can hear everything from the rooms next door. The room is also positioned immediately above a small function room for the pub / restaurant. Not a problem during my stay, but I’d imagine it could be for others. The décor in the room has been thoughtfully done, but it’s tired. The wallpaper on the ceiling was falling away in many places. The carpets are stained. Lovely staff and some nice touches in the room, such as the freshly baked shortbread each day. The restaurant food was good, but not a
