Highly recommended! Very warm, friendly welcome from Phil. Very well organised and has lots of daily advice. A nice comfortable room with everything you need. An excellent breakfast too. A very enjoyable short stay, we would definitely return.

The breakfast came hot, well cooked and plentiful. The view over Skiddaw was beautiful. The B&B was in an excellent location, with easy access to all the Lakes and cumbrian coast. Easy access to and from the main routes.

When we stayed at Hermiston, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and there was also a very comfortable and cosy lounge for guests to sit in as well as a garden if desired. Breakfast was cooked to order and quality and presentation was excellent.

Phil and Helen were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming, helpful and the breakfasts were great. Rooms are comfortable. Great location with walks, pubs and restaurants nearby so no need for the car. Would stay again.

Great service in a small village with good places to eat or drink but close to Keswick and other places if want more, very good bed and breakfast with fantastic views.

We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs room.

We had a lovely stay at Hermiston Guest House. The rooms are well appointed, beautifully clean and refreshed on a daily basis. Breakfast is well organised and the service from Phil in particular was a highlight of the stay. Thank you!

Phil and Helen took great care to make the breakfasts fit our needs with lots of choices. Great welcoming and conversation. We enjoyed our two nights. Comfy bed and though the shower knobs took a bit to sort out we enjoyed the shower after long days of touring and walking. Myriad thanks!
