We stayed for two nights at Drift House in Port Fairy and had a somewhat mixed experience. The accommodation itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. It really feels like a special place to stay. We also dined in the restaurant and the meal was beautiful, with high-quality food and a great atmosphere. The staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience was soured by our interactions with the owner, which left us feeling uncomfortable and somewhat judged during our stay. It’s a shame, as Drift House has so much going for it and is in such a gorgeous location. Port Fairy is a stunning town and well worth visiting. With a different tone set at the top, this could have been an exceptional stay.

We loved our stay here. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and luxurious, and we were warmly welcomed. The in-house dining experience was superb, especially the pre-dinner drinks around an open fire, and chats with other guests. Scrumptious breakfast the next morning was a highlight too. Highly recommend this place!

The hotel is set in a period building, however the interiors are very modern, stylish and stunningly well designed. The service was excellent, and the breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was first class. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which served an excellent tapas meal which is great for sharing. I would highly recommend this hotel

Six bed roomed property close to all amenities in Fort Fairy. Modern spacious rooms with excellent facilities. Buffet breakfast using locally sourced ingredients. Staff very friendly and helpful . Communication from the property very good. Would recommend staying here if in the area.

Rooms are spacious, well laid out, and interesting. Host is very helpful. Breakfasts are great. Walking distance to town center.

We stayed in Suite 1 An amazing place to stay with a fantastic locally sourced buffet breakfast equal to any 5 star hotel. Rooms are large and well equipped with kitchen, large TV , modern bathroom/ shower and separate bath. Easy walking to harbour and Griffth's Island. Owners are very accommodating and friendly. Absolutely recommend staying here if visiting Port Fairy

Rooms are beautiful. Great design and style. The owners are friendly and attentive. We stayed for 4 nights and only criticism was the sameness of the breakfast offer, but that is a very small gripe in anotherwise first class bed and breakfast

This is one of the most wonderful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was just stunning, with lovely facilities and the bath was amazing. The hosts were fab and couldn’t have done more, you definitely should book this hotel!
