The staff were lovely and very helpful. Many special thanks to Will the restaurant manager and to the excellent chef who made me a special and lovely dish in minutes (out of the set menu)

We only stayed one night. Family of 4 in a family garden room. Lovely room! Huge!! Could do with being updated but it will not stop us booking again. The only thing that stuck out was breakfast, I had a decafe tea and my husband had pot of coffee. It wasn’t very nice at all (I feel it was the cheaper tea bags and coffee?) The cooked breakfast was delicious and the waiting staff very helpful. Maybe some more pastries on offer would be amazing!! We enjoyed our one night very much. Thank you

Breakfast is good. Jacuzzi & Sauna is nice although I can imagine that this can be too small and limited on a busy season. Gym equipments is just enough for someone who don't really want to skip a day in a gym.

We stayed in a basic room, which would benefited from updating / refurbishment. There were areas i.e. the corridors. Restaurant and bar food was only available from 6:30 pm, which was a little inconvenient as we had traveled to the hotel from Cheshire and had booked to attend the theatre in the university. The staff provided an excellent service friendly, approachable and helpful.

Check in and reception brilliant, very helpful. Superior room booked and was huge and well fitted out. There is a pool, jacuzzi, sauna facilities with free towels . Parking was easy. The restaurant & bar was well managed by Will who couldn’t do enough for you. The main town is a 20 mon walk if your fit but there are some serious up/downhill routes which would require a taxi or vehicle for those with any issues.

The bed was rock hard...really uncomfortable. The room was clean and comfortable size. Staff friendly and Breakfast was good.

Our room seemed defunct of central heating ( dated radiators not working) and was reliant on a small , portable, oil filled radiator. Beds were comfortable. Shower ‘rose’ was seemingly blocked and only provided a ‘gentle’ flow of warm water whereas the taps in the washbasin gave decidedly hot water - odd. The staff were incredibly polite and keen to please although not particularly smartly dressed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay , plentiful, with beautiful smoked haddock and the poached eggs a delight.

Not enough seats for everyone at breakfast, had to wait 20 mins for coffee, which was then tasteless. Menu was varied and good choice, but attracting staff to order it was impossible, then order was wrong when arrived. Room was dated, but clean and functional. Gym and pool area needs some money spending on it. Could be a splendid place if investment allowed, but with so much other local competition not sure what it’s usp would be.

We were given a lovely room. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Nice quiet place to stay.

Parkeren was gratis en makkelijk, receptioniste was heel vridndelijk en snel, bar/ restaurant personeel zeer vriendelijk en snel. Ontbijt okk goed en lekker.

Lovely big traditional room. Lovely friendly staff. Parking nice and easy. Good choice of breakfast.
