Great location, amazing service.

The staff was exceptional. The view from our room was beautiful and the bedding so comfortable. Loved our room. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it to others.

Fantastic stay! Even with the power outage the statf did a great job keeping us informed and updated. East walk to all the items of interest and terrific food.

This is far and away my favorite hotel in Montreal and nothing comes even slightly close. This hotel truly embodies the essence of Montreal from the cobblestone street to the cozy atmosphere throughout the rooms. This is a perfect stay for summer or winter (I have come during both). They have an amazing cafe downstairs and tons of restaurant options near by. This truly is an amazing boutique hotel with the nicest rooms and friendly staff. I always look forward to coming back to this hotel and look forward to taking my children one day :)

There are not enough characters to describe how great our recent experience was. We had stayed previously, and it lived up to expectations a 2nd time. At the valet, they were slammed but took time to help each guest as quickly as possible. During check-in, we mentioned it was our 2nd time staying and came back to celebrate our anniversary. The front desk attendant paused for a second and said, "Well, in that case, I have just upgraded your room. This was not expected, nor necessary. This was followed by us cancelling our dinner reservations in exchange for an incredible 6-hour shift on the rooftop patio. Amazing Experience, we will be back.

This was a wonderful boutique hotel with good amenities and the perfect location to old town and the Port of Montreal waterfront activities and attractions. We met the GM of the Hotel and gave some feedback and it was resolved quickly, graciously and satisfactory. The way a great hotel would operate we were impressed!

Beautiful hotel and perfect location!

Very quaint hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Close to shops and restaurants. Room was quiet and I loved the bathroom and shower.

William Gray is a Nightmare Hotel with Rude Staff & Unreliable Facilities…The AC doesn’t work, hot water went out for hours while we were trying to get ready for a wedding, and we had to check out an entire day and night early because the hotel was unusable. The hotel said we could get a refund through Expedia if we checked out early, but when we called, Expedia said the hotel had denied it. There were also bugs in the rooms. The manager was beyond rude, dismissive, nasty, and gaslit us for “wanting a cool room,” blaming us instead of admitting the hotel’s failures. The hotel is clearly a money-making scheme; you even have to pay extra to use the pool. Even the rooftop, while offering nice views, had subpar, overpriced food with horrible service. This is the opposite of luxury or customer service. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers.

Great stay! The hotel was very clean with stylish décor, and both the rooms and common areas were perfect for relaxing and enjoying some downtime. The staff were super helpful and welcoming (especially Eddy at the Front Desk) Special shoutout to the concierge (Francesca) who gave us great restaurant recommendations and walking tips. Would highly recommend the Terrace for the best patio views of the city! Only thing to note: the in-room fridges are really wine coolers, so they don’t get very cold. Not ideal for personal use, and even the wine/champagne inside wasn’t chilled much. Aside from that, everything was excellent — would definitely stay again!

Above all we want to rave about the staff! Every single person we encountered from the moment we arrived was warm, friendly and professional. Everyone went above and beyond, also the location can't get any better! We felt so welcomed. The restaurants were exceptional, and room was clean and lovely. Thank you so much for another wonderful stay. We can't wait to come back!

Excellent location. Great staff. Rooftop restaurant incredible.

There are so many different restaurants to choose from. The Terrance located in the hotel, Schwartz for the smoked meat sandwich and Joe Beef. Great places. There are many others as well. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. First time to Montreal and it was a good experience. Would definitely go back.

The customer service was top notch and the room was clean and great restaurants within the hotel. Perfect location!

Nous avons célébré notre 23e anniversaire de mariage de weekend! Nous avons fait le très bon choix de l'hôtel William Gray et son restaurant-terrasse sut le toit! Les cocktails sont délicieux et nous avons eu un excellent repas. Le raviole au homard est un plat sublime. L'hôtel est tellement bien situé et beau, c'est fantastique. Nous avions une très belle vue de la chambre, et la chambre est très confortable et belle. C'est un 5 étoiles de A à Z. Nous avons été très bien reçus et même avec plusieurs très belles attentions. Merci à toute l'équipe du WG!
