Great weekend stay for a birthday party nearby! Thank you loads!

This lovely quaint Guest House was ideal for us on New Year's Eve as we were invited to a Masquerade Ball held at The Queens Hotel which was only a 6 minute walk away from the Guest House. We were initially thinking of going by taxi but trying to get a taxi on New Year's Eve is a nightmare and there's no guarantee anyway that they would actually turn up. Also, the taxi was working out about the same price as a one night stay here! Hence, it was a no-brainer. The property has excellent free parking around the back. The bed was nice and comfortable, the shower was powerful and the room was spacious, warm and quiet. The host (Heather) is a really charming lady and it was lovely chatting to her over breakfast. We had fresh fruit and yoghurt, tea and toast (lots of choices for jams, honey, marmalades etc). Heather then brought in some yummy freshly cooked croissants which were a real treat with a nice coffee. This was the perfect stay for us and meant that we could enjoy New Year's Eve without the stress of how we were going to get home. We would have no hesitation in booking this venue again for future stays. Thank you so much Heather! 😊

Cosy bed & breakfast - just what we needed

Good size room. Quiet location. Great continental breakfast. It’s a very old building with character and history. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable price.

It was in walking distance of my destination and the price for one night was good

Great and attentive host who made me feel very welcome. The B&B is clean, the room was comfortable and had everything I needed. As a woman on my own I felt very safe in the property and the walk back from the high street was well-lit and very straightforward.

The outside of the House was not good Paint peeling ect There was a lot of stairs to my room which I asked them about before staying but they said they hadn't received my message The room was clean Breakfast was included however there was nothing cooked Host was helpful & they helped carry my bags

Heather was an amazing host; a lovely lady who made you feel very welcome from arrival until departure. Breakfast, although continental had a very wide range of choice. Menu's were available to order a takeaway which we did on arrival. Safe parking is available at the property, along with ironing facilities. Yes, the building is worn and dated and could benefit from some repairs and decoration, but if you're just doing a quick visit which we were, this is a great choice.
