Wir hatten bei sommerlichen 30 Grad ein Zimmer unterm Dach. Das war sehr heiß und nicht runter zukühlen. Keine Klimaanlage 👎Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und wenig isoliert, Fenster sehr veraltet. Das Zimmer war sehr klein aber okay, letztendlich nur zum schlafen nicht für den längeren Aufenthalt gedacht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schön war der Garten und die Möglichkeit sich draußen im Grünen aufzuhalten 😊 Für anstrengende Sightseeing Touren ein guter Rückzugsort.

The best thing about this place was the staff, they were lovely; friendly, helpful and very polite, followed by a really nice breakfast and handy location. But that’s all I can say, the place desperately does need a refurb, behind and impressive regal looking frontage it was outdated and pretty uncomfortable. I did get a free upgrade upon arrival which I was very grateful for. Put those staff in an updated Clarendon and you’re onto a winner!

Das Frühstück war oft etwas chaotisch, da das Hotel sehr voll war und zu wenig Platz im Frühstücksraum. Aber das Personal hat das Beste draus gemacht.

Staff were excellent and the Hotel has a nostalgic vibe that I enjoyed. Only Criticism was my room (and the internal corridors upstairs) were insanely warm.(during a heat wave). Even after using the fan and opening the sash window it did little to cool the space.

The property was exceptional with the pretty gardens in the back too have your traditional English breakfast . The staff were helpful and fun .Late At night there is not much open for for food in black watch but the staff will make you a cold sandwich and that was really nice … I would recommend this hotel

Muy agradable la sala del desayuno y la calidad. Cerca de la estación, con aparcamiento gratuito y las habitaciones cómodas. Me volvería a alojar allí si volviera a Londres.

We've stayed at the Clarendon many times and have always have a good experience. Our room was compact but pleasant. The breakfasts are amazing and I recommend the sausages in particular. My only small complaint is that they need to put slow closure mechanisms on the doors. They are fire doors and at times you hear doors slamming at night.

Friendly hotel with helpful staff

The room was great, comfortable sleep, enjoyed the garden too. Only thing I would say is the iron wasn’t in great condition.

Another good visit. The staff were very friendly, as always. Good breakfast, clean room. Great location for visiting a friend in Leah Lodge.

Excellent hotel and location! Close to the train station, and a short ride to London downtown. AC during heatwaves would be certainly a plus! Breakfast is very good. A washroom in our room room was on the smaller side. We enjoyed our stay.

Super service and atte

We were very fortunate to get parked at the front of the hotel which helped a great deal as steps/long walks are an issue at the moment while waiting for a hip replacement. Reception staff, at all hours, were fantastic - could not have asked for better. So helpful with any questions we had - an excellent team there for sure. The room was lovely, although very warm, which was through no fault of the hotel as we went to London during this mad UK heatwave. The only thing we could fault in any tiny way was that the shower was quite snug - definitely could be bigger for those of us who are not a size 10! Housekeeping staff very friendly, room very clean every day. Breakfast was fantastic - so much choice, and all very tasty. Staff during breakfast were also excellent, especially lady in green shirt, and a more mature lady in black (she was a little older than many of the other staff) but they both really stood out for us - so friendly, and welcoming every morning during our 3 night stay. The only negative to breakfast choice was that the juices on offer were orange juice and grapefruit juice - I was surprised to see grapefruit juice as there are many people who cannot drink it due to medication issues (myself included). With that in mind, perhaps it would be nice to include another choice. I saw tomato juice on the menu cards but none was available at the counter. Cranberry would be a very good option. We would definitely stay again though! Excellent hotel!

Well this was the 2nd time we have stayed here. This time we had a bigger room, it was nice and clean. It was nice to have a wall mounted fan, just what we needed in this heat wave. The staff were very polite from when we turned up and sign in. The answered all our questions without thinking about it. Great room service, ring through to reception and drinks were brought to the room with in 5 minutes. Had a great meal in the bar,good selection of food. It was nice to have a good selection of drinks,it was great to get a pints of cider. We had the breakfast included,now that was great,you could have a full English breakfast, pastries, cereal and plenty of fruit. The waiting staff were very polite from welcoming us to asking what we would like to drink, nothing was to much 10/10. No parking needed arrived by train. The biggest pull to this hotel is being able to walk out the front door and straight on to Blackheath Common. That was one of the reason we go back, great walks and it doesn't feel like you are in London. All we can say is, it's been a fabulous weekend end away and we enjoyed everything we did over the 3 day's being there. If you want somewhere to stay in London away from all the madness stay here, railway station 5 minutes away.

We have stayed several times at The Clarendon Hotel. The staff are all very helpful. The bar is very comfortable space to relax and have a drink. Parking is sometimes an issue and not always easy to find a space. A few more Blue Badge holder spaces would really help. I would recommend this hotel.

I always like this hotel because of the location and reasonable price. However some things could be modernized (e.g. TV and kettle) and an ironing and iron could be provided. Breakfast was very good. The room was facing the sun and extremely hot in the room (no aircon just a fan). I would stay here again because I like it, but some small adjustments it could much better.

great staff, very friendly, kind and helpful

The location was wonderful, in a lovely village with green spaces and a beautiful church. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Train station was 5mins walk away and the buses stop across the road from the hotel. Very clean room, breakfast had everything you would want and lovely gardens out the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a late night drink in the bar was perfect before a good slin the comfy bed. Would definitely recommend The Clarendon.

A lovely hotel with parking overlooking the park. Buffet breakfast was good with reasonable choice some tables overlooked the garden. The rooms were a reasonable size, bathroom/toilet a bit small but fine. Bar area and lounge. Other pubs and restaurants nearby. Easy to get to the 02, Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if in the area.
