Alles sehr sauber entsprechend. Der Pool hätte sauberer sein dürfen. Zimmer wurden topp gereinigt. Sehr freundliches personal. Preis für Übernachtung allerdings recht hoch für ein 4 Sterne Hotel ohne Frühstück oder sonstige Verpflegung. Der Whirlpool ist indoor in einem Nebenraum zur Rezeption. Wäre er draussen gewesen hätten wir ihn benutzt.

Perfect place to stay if you want to be away from the tourist area. The room is modern, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of free parking for your rental car in a safe area. All of our activities were about a 20 min drive in all directions.

Great property, penthouse 2 BR was perfect. Full kitchen. Teresa at the front desk 5 Stars! The staff made reservations, helped with any issues. Perfect jumping spot to explore the island and relax by the pool.

We chose Whales Bay Hotel and apartments for it's central location out of the main city of Ponta Delgada. We were very happy with everything about our 10 day stay. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had great views of the ocean. We went in June and had glimpses of sunrise and sunset. The heated pool and hot tub were nice for relaxing at the end of a great day. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. You could also easily get to the trail along the cliffs for a beautiful walk. If you like to swim, the natural pool with lifeguards is a close walk too. We will be back! Bobbie Aitken Accord NY

Clean, kitchen had everything that was needed. Sea views. Staff so helpful, above and beyond what was expected. Use of hot tub, swimming pool, sauna, turkish steam room and gym. Even a playroom for kids. Only issue was that the laundry was really expensive. A washing machine available to guests would have been useful even with a charge.

Spacious clean room, great and helpful staff

Our stay at Whales Bay Hotel was quite wonderful. We loved every aspect of it. The appartments and the common areas are all kept spotlessly clean. The reception staff were really heplful and knowledgeable about the islands. The hot tub and the steam/sauna was a highlight of our day. There is nothing about the accomodation we did not like. We will very probably book again next year.

Spacious, clean, well appointed apartment with a huge balcony. Beds were comfortable and shower was hot with good pressure. Kitchen area was well equipped. Seats at island were too low to be useable. Area in track between 2 glass doors in shower exhibited some black mold. Other than that the apartment was perfect. Could have used some racks for the luggage, but we managed. The wet area of the hotel was very nice. The pool was a great temperature and very clean and refreshing. The sauna and steam worked flawlessly and were spotless. The jacuzzi was disappointing though. Not hot enough and the jets were lackluster with no air blended in. Seemed like it wasn’t functioning properly. Both the gentleman and the young lady manning the front desk were very friendly and helpful. They seemed genuinely glad to have us staying at their beautiful property. The grounds were well maintained and lush. A beautiful resort to spend some time.

Good facilities incl a heated pool.

The Whales Bay hotel is highly recommended. The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and even got into the jacuzzi for a few minutes. The location is nice also as it is out in a quieter area but still only about 25 minutes t Ponta Delgada. The only thing missing was a nice breakfast.
