I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Even if you have to pay an extra £60–£100, I would strongly advise choosing a different hotel. Here are the reasons why: Upon entering our room, we noticed black mould and strands of hair in several places. The room did not smell fresh or clean. The bed and pillows also appeared unclean, with hairs visible on the bedding. The corridors leading to the room had an unpleasant smell, and the carpets looked dirty and poorly maintained. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery and felt unsafe. The only positive aspect of our stay was the female receptionist we interacted with during our two-night stay. She was polite, professional, and very helpful. Staff members like her are a real asset to the hotel and should be recognised for their excellent customer service. The two male receptionists were also fine, but not as memorable in terms of service. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly affected our experience, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Lovely view and handy to all main things

We just needed somewhere simple to stay, carpet not the cleanest but the bedding was clean, parking is not always available at the hotel itself, but the hotel has an arrangement with the local council for patrons to park in the council car park down the street for free. Simple bar in the lounge/restaurant area and live music on a Friday night. We enjoyed our time here.

To whom it may concern My room was in third floor with no lift as it wasn't working with my arthritis and waiting on knee replacement is not good no hot tub in use was also sauna also switched off dirty towel left on bathroom from the previous guest 😡😞 my meal meal was slammed down 2 me as if staff couldn't be bothered. Very disappointed stay

We are 75. We were offered a room on the 4 th floor. No lift. We were then offered a room - on arrival the door handle fell off. We ended in a room with a cracked window.

Our room was on the ground floor and the hall way along to the room smells so strong of damp it almost smelt like fuel. The room was basic which is what you would expect for the price paid as this was just a base for us as we were attending a wedding in the Tarbet hotel which was fully booked…however I don’t think it had been cleaned there was bits of old food and rubbish on the floor I stood in what seemed to be peanut butter. The mattress protector was all stains and the sheet didn’t fully fit the bed, as it was so hot we were going to use the grey throw from the bottom of the bed instead of the quilt but this smelt like urine so was put on the floor. The hotel it’s self when you enter is bright and clean along with the bar area drinks were well priced and the pool table was free! Don’t know if the rooms on the higher floors are better. Arrochar it’s self was a lovely wee place with stunning views and food amenities for the size of it, would recommend Ben Arthur’s Bothy for food, drinks and entertainment! And the staff were amazing friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back to Arrochar but stay elsewhere.

Enjoyed our stay ,staff very good Andy exceptional, loved the bath hot water was a bonus. Great location for touring the area just off main A road and surprisingly quiet. Excellent choice for breakfast. Would stop again. Our thanks to all the Staff

Ok for a stay over for one night. Staff were lovely and the pints of kager was super cold. Food was great.. enormous portions. Don't have any sides if your having a curry

If you’re looking for a hostel crossed with an 80s working men’s pub, you won’t be disappointed. With the pool table in reception it must be the vibe they’re going for. It would be punching at 2 stars. Bed as hard as a board, pillows like pancakes. Curtains didn’t fit the window. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Good luck.

The hotel was huge with many floors of stairs and doors. We had the small annex double bedroom. The room was recently decorated, and was tidy and clean. However, the room felt damp, only relying on a small electric heater. The water was very hot in the taps, but the shower didn't work and was freezing cold. The staff serving were helpful and friendly. The food on offer was good, and the fusion curry menu was the best in the UK i have had and having travelled back from a holiday in India.

The mattresses and pillows were really bad. Nothing was very clean other than the bathrooms. Our sink made noises most of the night, and our toilet rarely flushed. There was incredibly limited parking. There was a leak on our ceiling and very thin walls. You could hear every other occupant. There was also an unpleasant smell in one of our two rooms.

Very clean but the room was small even by European standards.

Excellent Breakfast but Dinner Menu limited. We visited in May and the lift had been out of order since July. This was totally unacceptable as the stairs were quite steep and for those carrying luggage, especially to the 4th floor, this was not good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and when we asked to be moved, they did their best to make other arrangements. Apart from that, we love Scotland and the beautiful scenery it has to offer.

Basique, chambre exigüe et parties communes un peu vieillottes... mais le prix est en relation, on ne peut pas tout avoir. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant. Attention hotel multiniveaux, pour atteindre (par escaliers) notre chambre au "1er étage" nous avions plusieurs volées de marche en montée et en descente (pas simple avec une grosse valise).

I have rated this stay high because it was excellent value for money. Obviously the area and views are outstanding. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We decided to have dinner at the hotel because they had great options and the Korma we ordered was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was delicious and fresh and we were so impressed with the quality of the food for the price. It’s my 2nd time staying at this hotel and it’s been pleasant both times. It is much cheaper than other options in the area and I can honestly say the food was 10/10. We also had a great restful sleep! They have a hot tub & sauna for guests to use and the pool table was free to use for guests also, which was ideal. Thank you, we will come again!

Ignore the bad reviews. It may be a bit dated, but it retains some old world charm. Couldn’t fault anything.

Room was clean,hotel could be doing with some updating.dinner and breakfast was ok.

On arrival there was no one on reception and a lot of noise coming from the bar area,where children were jumping on seats (Parents were in attendance) Nice clean room, pet friendly & perfect with ourdoor acceess for dog. Nice and clean room/bathroom, but shower door needed looking at. No hair dryer in room. When asked at reception, was informed all loaned out, however one was brought to room when available, unfortunately a little too late . Fish and chip shop across road. Lovely view, but quite a bit of road noise.
