The staff is super helpful, the rooms are unique and the area is very nice. The “Oh Taco” restaurant on the premises is a must, especially the guacamole with feta and honey! Don’t miss out on that! Would absolutely recommend staying here.

I like the area where the hotel was located, right by the water. Had many dining and entertainment options in the area. The hotel was clean, the room was a good size with nice amenities. The staff could have been more prompt to acknowledge and greeted us when we were trying to check in, but overall were a pleasant experience.

While my stay was not horrendous. After leaving the hotel and receiving this $500 bill for their suspicions of smoking in the room which were an ash on the mantle which came from the smoking apparatus after returning to the room and some remnants of what was loaded prior to living the room constitutes smoking in the room and thus allows them to charge you $500 for their claim of smoking in the room! So as the room is clean the service is good and all amenities are mediocre. The room is very small for the price that you pay, and I suppose the overpricing is for the eclectic ambience of the room. So if you are looking for a place that you are not allowed to have smoking material on your person please feel free to stay at this place. I would not recommend it to anyone! They come off as a high-end hotel with a low end experience!

A cute and easily accessible hotel.

The room itself was beautiful and the surrounding area is very cute. Unfortunately it’s very loud until quite late at night due to music from local bars and restaurants. This was the case on Thursday, as well as the weekend. We managed with white noise, but for anyone who needs silence for sleeping, it would be hard to sleep well.

Hotel Kilbourne is a cool little hotel right on the Pier with access to the Jet Express. The photos online are accurate. All the staff with whom we interacted were very helpful and personable. The room was comfortable, with everything you would need for a weekend stay.

Sandusky has come a long way. The hotel is very cool. Lots of free public parking The shower head is a little rough.

This hotel was so unique - we loved it. Oh Taco the restaurant downstairs was so good!! Jessica the bartender was the best!! Gave us a lot of history of the area and was so welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Unique and Beautiful hotel with interesting history. Super clean. Loved the gift shop. On Lake Erie. Excellent staff- personable & helpful. Walked everywhere. No need to drive. Ever in Sandusky - this is where will stay.

The hotel is lovely—very unique and nicely furnished. My only complaint is the pet fees—we were told that we needed to pay $25/day/pet. That’s totally reasonable. When we checked in however, we were told there was an additional $75/per dog non-refundable deposit, that meant we paid $200just for our dogs!! That’s almost the cost of the room. Note to pet owners be very specific when asking about pet fees!!
