It is unclear where the hotel reception is as there were no staff to great and direct you and there is no obvious front desk and the staff did not seem especially interested. The TV in my room didn't work and although an attempt was made to remedy this, no further redress was offered (change room).Nice hotel but felt rather unwelcoming.

I booked this hotel as a special gift for my sister and brother-in-law’s 15th wedding anniversary because I expected a genuine five-star experience. Unfortunately, it fell well below those expectations. I paid extra for a room advertised with a Shard view, but in reality the view was extremely disappointing – you could only see the very tip of The Shard, which certainly wasn’t worth the additional cost. The room itself was surprisingly small and lacked the luxury, comfort and attention to detail you would expect from a five-star hotel. Overall, it felt much closer to an average four-star experience than the premium stay I had paid for. I had also contacted the hotel on more than one occasion beforehand to explain that this was a very special 15th anniversary celebration and requested some simple decorations or special touches. Apart from a small cake, nothing had been arranged. Even the cake was of poor quality and did not feel like something worthy of such an occasion, which made the celebration feel like an afterthought. The most concerning issue, however, was safety. The mats in the bedroom were extremely slippery, causing my brother-in-law to slip and hurt his back. My sister reported this to the hotel, but this is not something guests should have to experience, especially in a hotel that promotes itself as five-star. As this stay was my anniversary gift to them, I felt genuinely disappointed and embarrassed. I had chosen this hotel based on its reputation and expect

Beautiful building and beautiful room. The Indian breakfast is a must try! Absolutely delicious! We found the entrance a little odd. No welcome in the entrance hall, had to look for reception. Loads of extras in the bedroom, soft drinks, crisps, biscuits and plenty in the bathroom, everything you could possibly need. (Unfortunately my dressing gown had two holes in it) All in all, would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Wonderful hotel

Schone kamer en heerlijke badkamer met een Toto toilet. Charmant hotel en we werden zeer goed ontvangen. Frisdrank in koelkast en lekkere snacks. Een aanrader.... Waarom naar 4 sterren? Het ontbijt is veel te Duur voor wat er is. Het is 25 pond voor keuze uit 3 soorten brood, jonge smakeloze kaas, baby El, Philadelphia,salami, hesp, kippewit. Fruits a was lekker en vers. Voor eigerechten modest je meer betalen. Ze raden English of Indian breakfast aan maar dat is 32 pond en als je hier geen zin in hebt, zit je met het veel te Duur en middelmatig ontbijt.

Decent hotel so far as value for money is concerned. Large bedroom and free non alcoholic mini bar was a nice touch. Only issue was a tv that didn’t work when it came to watching the England v Norway game. Whilst reported with the hotel saying they would be back in touch nothing had been received and no compensation of any kind offered, disappointing!

Beautiful location, next to Tower Bridge, in a convenient area close to walks, markets, shops and pubs - bars, restaurants and cafes. The building is stunning from the outside and inside. The attention to details is excellent. The rooms are unique, converted old classrooms. Equipped with latest gadgets and anything you would need (apart from slippers, but I'm sure they would have provided us some if we had asked for them). Great sleep on comfortable beds with choice of pillows. Incredibly clean in the room and throughout. It seems to be close to a police station but it doesn't matter as the air control is so perfect, you don't need to have open windows. The staff were wonderful and a visit to the SPA for treatments was amazing. I would love to go back, and I recommended to anyone wanting a great, luxury stay in London.

We LOVED our stay at the Lalit. Sadly, we were only there for one night, but everything was top-notch from check-in to departure. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and eager to ensure your stay is wonderful. Room service was delicious. The Headmaster's Bar is a fun trip back to the posh school vibe (order the picante margarita). The hotel is spotless, we loved the natural light, fresh air, and being surrounded by trees . Location is amazing and safe, with a lot of great restaurants within walking distance, and the river/Tower Bridge just minutes away. Some reviewers complained about the noise, which was minimal during the day and very quiet at night (I'm really fussy btw...). You're in the middle of a very impacted city, and we loved being able to open the windows, so a bit of noise is to be expected. If you enjoy hotels with charm and character, the Lalit is for you. We stayed in the beautiful and historic Lalit One suite. Book that if you can - it's gorgeous. Either way, you'll enjoy your stay. We'll be back!

A fantastic stay, my daughter loved the hotel and room. She said the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. We would like to particularly thank the hotel for sending a birthday cake to her room to celebrate her twentieth year.

Really good experience, Hotel staff is helpful, Hotel ambiance is quite unique. Breakfast is nice choice between english and south indian dishes.
