Amazing rooftop view and staffed. everything was walkable distance. Wish I was there right . Definitely coming back here

Everything at your property was splendid. From the time we walked in, your staff, especially Angelo, made us feel warm and welcome. Every meal from breakfast to dinner was well done and tasted great. Portion size was just right as well. The female bartender at Lobby28, didn't get her name, made the prettiest/tastiest drinks. She made each one with care. Selfishly, I could have had the smoked salmon every morning at breakfast. We only had it once. My only thing that I could consider a negative, and it was my fault, was that there wasn't a usb plug/charger in the room. I left my brick at home but was able to walk across the street to the gift shop to purchase one. I also, enjoyed that the property was a block away from both the beach and the downtown shopping area. We normally travel beachfront properties but this was a nice change of pace! Overall, excellent trip and job by your entire property and staff on our first ever all inclusive/adults only property! Keep up the excellent work!

I’ll start off with the good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I mistakenly left my phone in the car that brought us from the airport and the lobby staff was nice enough to let me use the phone to solve my issue. The room was modern and nice but like some of the comments it does have a smell. If you notice there aren’t any pictures of the grounds it’s because it’s not on a resort it’s literally just a hotel. While researching this place it didn’t even cross my mind that I didn’t see any photos of anything besides the rooftop and the different rooms. My husband and I was celebrating our honeymoon and definitely thought this was an adult only resort. We purchased the all inclusive package and they only have 3 food places to choose from. The hotel is located on a street with different businesses and it’s sort of unsettling that anyone can just walk into the building. While you do have to use your keycard to get on the elevator, the stairs are right there so it doesn’t stop outsiders from coming into the building. It’s sort of unsafe if you ask me. The roof top was really nice it’s honestly the best part of the hotel but the dj played techno/edm music only. My husband had to ask him a few times if he had any hip hop or r&b and he literally played it for 10 minutes and went right back to the techno music. There is no nightly entertainment at all. If you are looking for a luxury resort style place this is not the place to be. But again the staff is lovely!

The location is fantastic , close to shops, nightlife and very central. The hotel is lucky to have mostly incredible, polite, professional staff - we have to mention Brenda, Antonio and Christhian. All extremely helpful and really tried to resolve the problems we had at the hotel. We had problems with noise and music from The bars opposite the hotel until 5am on first night :( There is no beach with Reef 28 and the private Reef Beach is with an extra charge ,15 minutes away. Breakfast is nice with lots of nice choices and fruits - polite friendly staff. Thank you Brenda …. You are a star ⭐ we hope too see you again . July 2025

Property was nice and clean. Staff were very pleasant. Rooms are a good size and it’s located near the beach. I would improve the breakfast buffet. It was a little bland and the coffee could be better. Otherwise though a nice affordable stay option close to restaurants and beach.

The property is located off of quinta avenida but perfectly located so that your close to everything while also having some distance from the crazy night life. Every one that worked at the resort was friendly and helpful. The onsite dining and bars were also very good. Great place for couples to go.

This was my first time staying here and although it was a nice property, I will not be back. The customer service at the restaurants was poor, I attempted to go to the rooftop where I waited nearly 30 minutes without being addressed or assisted, went to the Mexican restaurant right after where the same thing happened as I sat at the bar. I had the all-inclusive package but didn’t utilize it much at all because the service and food was not good. I paid for medium steak that was so tough I couldn’t cut it. I dined at other restaurants in the area where the food and service was top notch. The roof top pool is small and packed, I was never able to use it the 5 days I was there. The only highlight of this property is that I had access to Coco Beach and Reef Playacar which is where I spent a lot of time. If you want a place in a walkable area, this is a good option. I wouldn’t waste money on all inclusive because your alcohol isn’t that at all, you can drink 20 drinks and never feel anything. Visit the sister properties to take advantage of their larger pools and beach, Playacar was such a beautiful property! After speaking with other visitors who were people of color, we all had similar experiences. Wait staff overlook you and will tend to others while you’re ignored. I’m a big tipper but they’d never know because of how I was treated. housekeeping was great, power went out several times over my 5 day staff and no hot water the first 2 days.

The hotel was hot the rooms smelled like mildew and the room is extremely hot service was slow and I had to get up almost 90% of the time to ask for a waiter. The drinks were weird and tasted watered down I’m shocked because I came here 2 years ago. I complained to the front desk and nothing was fixed. Expecting more tips as if it’s not already included is insane especially if you’re providing bad service. I would never stay here again. The saddest part is I extended the trip prior to getting there thinking it would be great and I’m still unsatisfied.

Had the best time at The Reef 28. My partner and I enjoyed the atmosphere and good vibes. Rooftop was live and amazing. Rooms were cozy and clean. The food delicious and drinks were on point. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Located blocks away from beach and entertainment strip, its definitely worth the visit.

I’m truly disappointed with my recent stay at The Reef 28. What was advertised as an adults-only, all-inclusive experience turned out to be frustrating and misleading. There were children on the property, despite it being promoted as adults-only. We also paid for an all-inclusive package, yet we had to jump through too many hoops just to get what we already paid for. The staff constantly pushed for upgrades and tips, which felt aggressive and uncomfortable. One of the worst parts was being lied to about an excursion—we were given false information by a staff member, which caused us to waste an entire day. That was time we couldn’t get back. To make things worse, rain and a power outage left us with no backup options or accommodations, and the staff offered little to no support during that time. All around, this was not the relaxing, luxury experience we were promised. I would not recommend this resort unless they make serious changes in honesty, service, and overall guest care

Power kept going in and out but back up generator kicks in right away. Its not really all inclusive some selections of foods and drinks not included. The Rooftop was awesome and the hydro therapy was great. I give this hotel 7.5 out of 10
