Super friendly staff.

I love the Alder. It is spacious and mostly clean. But the area around it is a little sketchy. The water pressure could use some improvement and the bathroom could be just a little cleaner, but overall great value for the money.

Nice location near downtown

They were very kind and always warm and welcoming.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Very nice and modern with 2 queen beds!! Nice view of the neighborhood from the balcony. Convenient location. Free parking for guests is also a plus. Would definitely return if we are in town again.

Staff was great

The location was good and overall the hotel was okay. I doubt I would stay there again though. The cleaning wasn’t the best and that’s honestly the most important factor to me when staying in a hotel. The beds were also not very comfortable.

The room was okay, though it felt a little dated and lacked the pleasant aromas typically found in hotels. We also had some issues with the bathroom facilities and had to call maintenance to resolve the problem. The silver lining, however, was that the location was perfect for us—an easy walk to great restaurants and bars."

Staff are all professional

Quiet at night. Staff were pleasant, but could be friendlier/ more welcoming. Did not feel safe walking around at night to catch a bus. Ok during the day. There were no tissues. Box was empty. Easy to catch public transportation towards French Quarter and Garden District.

Bed not comfortable, bathroom in poor repair, neighborhood not nice, limited food in the area.

Stellar staff

I really enjoyed the retro look for this hotel. I was expecting that since it was down the corner from the surgical hospital that it would have been not so great. I was pleasantly surprised by the room and bedding. Would stay there again, that being said there really is not much around that you can walk to (except hospital).

It was very run down, bathrooms had lots of stains and cracked tiles. Moved us 3 times and all were bad

This is the best hotel. The staff are wonderfully friendly, it’s clean and orderly, and the little pool is delightful. The rooms are tailored for comfort and convenience, and it’s a fun neighborhood. Highly highly recommend.
