Had a couple of nights stay at the property for a social event in Derby. Check-in was very easy, as was communication with the host; the property benefits from private secure parking at the rear. Key collection is automated and went without a hitch. The property itself was well appointed with everything needed for a stay and benefits from a nearby shop plus a few pubs within a 5 minute walk. The walk in to town was approximately 15 minutes. Check-out was easy and, again, automated which was good. I would definitely stay again for the right price. The only reason I did not give 5 x stars was due to check out being at 11am (which was fine) but the cleaner entering the property at 10am whilst I was getting changed.

The outside of the building was the first sight, leaves from last year were in the front courttyard. The checkin process was all on an outside keypad system, with a small keypad that took a long time to get right and several times to get the key out. The staircase up to the second floor was very difficult with a large case. Not all of the items that were listed as being in the apartment were not there. The double bed was only 4'6" wide, which by current standards was not good.

Room was great, stayed a couple of nights, cooked a couple of meals in the kitchen. Would be better with more hooks and shelves in the bathroom

I had a great stay at The Stay Company Friar Gate in Derby. The location was excellent—easy to find, with clear instructions for accessing the accommodation. There were plenty of amenities nearby, including local shopping and a good selection of restaurants. The access routes were convenient, making travel simple. The accommodation itself was ideal for a couple. It was smartly fitted, well-maintained, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Every aspect was thoughtfully covered. If I were to suggest improvements, they would be minor and more personal preference: a king-size bed would have made the experience even better, and perhaps a slightly larger sofa for added comfort. However, I understand these are limited by the size of the property. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended.

Clean apartment, good location, responsive staff. No elevator, would prefer more hooks in the bathroom and room and a full shower door for the bathroom.

Our first impression was the cleaning in the bathroom was rushed. An obvious long black hair in the sink. Also the wet bathmat in the middle of the bathroom floor.

Great accommodation with secure parking, everything we needed for our stay. We could hear the guests above us and when using the stairs but I think they were probably just very noisy

Love the location, with a quaint breakfast joint (Janet's) and spectacular pizza (Trattoria Lalis) close by. The provision of parking, the easy check-in and out and comfortable fully equipped units made our stay memorable.
