I had a wonderful four nights. It was nice to live in an old 3-bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood along a narrow path. I loved waking up in a room bathed in light from the shoji door and windows. Early in the morning I would go out for a walk before sitting down to a nice Japanese breakfast with the owner, cook and other guests. Sharing the bathrooms with other guests was like living with your siblings. I felt like I was part of a family in a very interesting and relatively small town. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and recommending places to visit. If you want a hotel experience, this is not for you. There is no front desk, extra amenities, private bathroom, tv, or refrigerator. This is an old house with three guest rooms. But the rooms have a/c and the two bathrooms have flush washlets. You have to remove your shoes at the front door. Then you step up to the small common area with a low table and zabutons. Under the table is recessed so you can sit comfortably with your legs dangling. The narrow, steep stairway leads to two guest rooms and a bathroom with toilet. My room was very comfortable with a couch and low desk. The futon was thin so I laid two of them on the tatami mat. This was a great experience to live in an old Japanese house.

The property is true to its description. Staff was very helpful and they provided a delicious breakfast. Had a great night sleep both nights there.

The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Not pictured is the dual shower and toilet. The futons are very thin and uncomfortable. Bushi the regular host was not there and I was not notified of the change prior to check in.

We had a phenomenal experience getting to know a modern samurai! Our host is very knowledgeable about history and his kindness and life purpose is worth stopping by there for a few days snd learn from him. You get personalized treatment and the breakfast was prepared with love and kindness! We will be back for sure!! Warmed heartfelt thanks Bushi!!

The rooms, sheets, and towels were clean. The staff and host were AMAZING AND LIVELY! The kitchen was clean and they even made breakfast and dinner for me! I stayed during a cooler season so just having the window open was perfect. I really appreciate the kindness and hospitality of the host, Bushi. To me it was an amazing experience I will NEVER forget. Thank you so much!

ペットの犬もおりました。その他にも、荷物が多かったのを手伝って頂いたり、丁寧な説明、お気遣いをいただきました。

the place was clean the breakfast was ample the host was friendly there are three rooms - 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs - and if you are of a certain age and need an afternoon nap you should not be downstairs. On both days there were people in the living room and even the little noise they made was disturbing because of paper-thin walls. So if you need naps and privacy ask for upstairs.

If you are looking for a regular hotel experience, this is not the right choice for you. But if you would like to experience something fun, interesting and authentic, you have found the right place. The location of this b&b is great; walking distance from the train station, to the beach and the big Buddha. Our host is very nice, fun and open-minded with excellent English. The breakfast is great and it was nice to eat together with the other guests around the one table in the kitchen. Our room was small for four people, but we managed to fit the four matresses. The shared bathroom is small and cramped, but worked very well. We will come back!

The staff were very nice. Bushi-san was busy on my day of arrival (they have a lot of activities in Kamakura), but they left me a welcome packet with all the information. I met Bushi-san the morning after for breakfast. I also got to meet Yoko-san. She was very kind. The guesthouse is small, and the building is old and charming. I slept on a futon in a room equipped with tatamimats and traditional screen doors. It was amazing to sleep in a traditional room. The futon is perhaps on the thinner side, but they had more than one so you could perhaps stack them. The guesthouse is kept clean (and has a lot of interesting stuff to look at!), but you can see that is has some wear and tear. If you're looking for a super shiny modern place to stay, this is not for you. It's close to the Kamakura station and to the sea. Wadenya station is even closer than Kamakura station, and from there you can take a direct train to Enoshima.

The owner (bushi) of the guesthouse was such an amazing and kind person. He gave a tour around Kamakura and made delicious breakfast for me and my husband. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time staying at a guest house but it became a precious memory.

This is one of the best experiences I've ever had staying somewher, Our host Bushi was extremely friendly, and made our visit one to remember, we learnt alot about the area and about Kamukuras origin, I highly recommend adding the breakfast option to your stay as it was delicious, I'd give 6 stars if I could
