This was a very nice pension right in the old town area. Easy walk to the cathedral and excellent restaurants. The staff was very helpful suggesting things.

Der Herr am Empfang ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat alle nützlichen Informationen gegeben rund um das Hotel oder die Umgebung. Das Hotel liegt zentral, ca. 5 Minuten von der Kathedrale entfernt. Das Zimmer ist groß und hat eine Badewanne mit Whirlpool Funktion.

Great location, but a bit noisy late at night (wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again). The staff was superb. Very helpful & kind.

This property has a wonderfully helpful staff. The one person working gave us directions to where we wanted to go and was very kind. The linens were nice and soft. The bed comfy. Be aware that the penthouse suite is not what Americans would expect. It was the attic with slanted ceilings I bumped my head on. The advertised breakfast does not start at 8:00 and there is no hot water pot or coffee in the room or hotel. The advertised café and bar were not open at all. No one was present at 8:45 a.m. to call us a taxi. It's nice but expect a low level of attention. Due to limited hours of staffing.

Super great location. Was able to pull up off the street - basically on the sidewalk - and unload our luggage. Also could keep the luggage in the bar area in the morning so we did not have our luggage to the car. Parking lot reasonable close. 17.30 Euros per day. Our room was lovely - well decorated, super clean, with a nice bathroom and huge TV. The only draw back was the noise outside was super loud (lots of people - drunk?) - talking with occasional shouting until almost 5:00 AM. Was it because it was a Saturday night? We were very tired, so it didn’t keep us awake that much, but might have been annoying.

Laundry was next door and location was excellent. Also enjoyed their massage chair a couple of times.

It was wonderful to be in the historic area of Santiago, where we could easily walk to shops and restaurants. The staff member we met was very friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to provide additional information about the area and the transportation options to the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend to others visiting the area.

LOCATION: Situated within the Centro Histórico, Hotel Casa Reais is a 7-min walk from the Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, Hospedería San Martín Pinario, Mercado de Abastos, Praza da Inmaculada, and an 8-min walk from Praza das Platerías and Praza do Obradoiro. STAFF: Helpful, but no 24-hour reception. We were arriving at 8pm, and were sent a message saying reception would close 30 mins ahead of that. I requested the receptionist to wait for us. He kindly did. ROOMS & AMENITIES: Housed in an interesting building, with traditional covered balconies/galerías of Galícia, but suffers from some bad design: the flimsy open shelves in our room were placed directly in front of a large wall-mirror (obstructing the mirror, and – worse – rendering it a hazard in case of a crash). while we were out, the tray with kettle and cups was placed on one of the shelves, our clothes hanging right over it. the beds were freshly made ahead of our arrival, but there was a strand of hair on top of the white linen. the bathroom had no space for a normal-sized sink: the floor around the sink got wet every time one washed one’s hands in the sink. BREAKFAST: A breakfast one can pass up on. The receptionist kindly told us about 2 good cafés nearby: Café Cáscara and Café Adèlia. ACCESSIBILITY: Casa Reais’s greatest strength is its proximity to the Catedral. The hotel is a short distance from the train/coach station, and further away from the airport.

Es un hotel muy pequeño, la recepción un tanto apretada, el personal amable. La habitación bonita. Muy tranquilo. El elevador no llegaba al último puso y me supuso cargar las maletas por la escalera un piso. Creo que le falta oferta de comidas pero realmente para una visita corta está muy bien.

It’s a bit difficult to find but the man on reception was really helpful explaining where the carpark was, coming to the car to get our bags and offering to store our bikes inside. He gave us some restaurant recommendations and drew tourist attractions on the map. Brilliant.

Loved the Proximity to the Cathedral. Our room’s electricity went out in the evening and there was no one to fix it until morning. However it was fixed promptly.
