Very hospitable and kind host, excellent breakfast, lovely touch with free cake, nothing too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay at this b&b 10 out of 10.

Hi my husband and I just got back from staying at The Hideaway hotel in Windermere. The hotel itself is a charming building with lots of character. Plenty of room for parking. When we got there Lisa introduced herself and we did the paperwork after which she gave us a lovely piece of cake each! The room was really cosy part contemporary and the rest in quirky windows. Lovely bed, immaculate bedding and towels. Later we took a short walk into the small village of Windermere which was nice with some good shops. Later that day we went to Bowness and shopped at the town there. Some super restaurants and Cafés. The Lake itself was beautiful especially Sun shining. We did go on a boat trip which was enjoyable and great scenery. Anyway we were really pleased with what we saw of The Lakes. The breakfast on the two mornings were faultless. Staff attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely lovely. Poached eggs on Sourdough toasted!! Again each day we had a choice of slice of cake . Thanks to the Hotel staff we had a really nice experience of the whole time we stayed. Well worth visiting. Quiet and peaceful at night, also on immaculate beds couldn't ask for more !! Guest house and staff were absolutely amazing from arriving to departure, and that nice little surprise two cakes . On checking in because the hotel was not busy we got a up grade, Would definitely come again and certainly mention it to friends and family. Massively in-pressed had a great stay, best wishes to all the staff

A great find in the Lake District. The hotel was easy to find down a quiet street in Windermere. The room was cosy and clean and while compact (as described) it had everything we needed with the complimentary slice of cake each day a welcome bonus. The breakfast was amazing and staff were happy to accommodate any likes / dislikes around food. Definitely would return in the future.

Very comfy stay, excellent and friendly service by staff, the breakfast is amazing. Bathroom is clean and with huge bath tub. It is truly a gem in Windermere. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel, staff are fantastic and very close by for any activity

My partner and I stayed at the Hideaway for 3 nights and we found our stay very enjoyable! We requested some of the extras they offer, the petals and the chocolate covered strawberries, and these were ready on arrival alongside the cakes they prepare daily for guests. We absolutely loved the cakes and the strawberries were delicious! The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, helping us with recommendations and frequently checking in with us. The breakfast was also delicious, with various options on the menu, from full English to cereals and pastries. Everything was made to order so we had fresh breakfast every day. The service was very attentive as well. There was also loads of parking space, out of the way of the roads, so we had no worries about the car. We had room 8 and we had everything we needed for the stay. The hand towel though was awkwardly placed, around hip height, so that you had to bend down every time you wanted to dry your hands. The room, overall, was a bit small, but for a short stay, it was fine. We found the bed to be quite firm, but we adjusted on the second night. Overall, enjoyed our stay and thank you to the staff for being so welcoming!

What a find , The Hideaway is absolutely gorgeous, very friendly staff , couldn’t do enough for you ! Lovely , clean room , bathroom spotless , excellent location, very quiet and picturesque. parking right outside . Breakfast delicious, loads of choice , and served perfectly. Daily cake each night you stay , Would definitely recommend, outstanding.

Very friendly staff. Got there early, not a problem. Breakfast was first class. Definitely recommend.

An absolutely lovely property situated far enough out of the way so it is quiet, but only a 5 minute walk to the shops and bars in Windermere. Room was fairly small but absolutely spotless and in mint condition with lovely views. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with several options for the main and cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt and either a croissant or cake. We were also given a home made cake on arrival which was really nice. Service was friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking and a nice garden to sit in outside for sunnier days or a nice living room when the weather isn’t as nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and room was cozy. Breakfast was a feast. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only complaint was the size of the bed. It can hardly fit two people.

What a lovely and charming place the hotel, staff and food were excellent. I would definitely recommend if anyone is thinking of staying there.
