Excellent price, quiet, huge rooms, close to amenities.

This was an excellent place to stay. Our room had a private garden area with great views. The room was spacious and they had thought of everything. There was a golf course behind us which we played on and there was a tavern about 150 metres away. Perfect stay. Definitely coming back. Couldn’t rate the staff as it was self check in and check out so we didn’t see anyone but we didn’t need to.

Great location

Its third visit in 13 years. We were lucky our room was available a little early. Thank you Julie. The rooms are large, comfortable with a great bathroom and spa bath. View out to the river, dividers between rooms for outside privacy. Next door to the tavern, enjoyed happy hour and went back for dinner. Food was great. Next time wanting a nice peaceful stop over will definitely book there again.

I really do not like writing reviews, especially if they are negative in any way. But the lack of finding staff at reception to lodge a complaint has left me with no choice but to go public, to warn others. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the past 5 or so years, but I don’t think we will be staying here again. We were staying in Room 17, supposedly a Premier Studio, King Bed, River view. The room was lovely and spacious and it did overlook the river, but the bed… yeah, nah… 2 single beds, one of which the mattress was very substandard, pushed together, does not make a King Bed. The ridge in the middle of the bed was atrocious and the side of the bed that I was sleeping on was terrible. I needed abseiling gear to rope myself in just to not fall out of the bed. The mattress edge was deformed or damaged, providing no support and creating a significant slope or hollow, which promoted one to slide out of the bed if one wasn’t careful. It was a constant battle which lasted all night and which I lost. So no, I cannot recommend staying here until issues such as substandard beds and the lack of reception staff is properly addressed.

The views were beautiful, the stuff we’re accomodating. Rooms could be cleaner.

Been staying at this property regularly for the last three years and always had a pleasant experience. Booked a room for our return trip from the Gold Coast and we were given a room near the reception. Room number 2 smelled like something died and was left for a while and was not suitable for Humans. The second room they offered us, Room number 6, didn’t smell quite as bad but the light didn’t work properly and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. So we put everything back in the car and drove home to Sydney. Bloody disgusting

The rooms were really nice, the bathroom was nice and big. We were there on King’s Birthday, there were no staff for check in, but it was pretty straightforward to check in without them. We requested a late check out as we have a very young baby, and they accommodated us very well and also provided a cot for us for our stay. The only thing was our keys stoped working at normal checkout time, so it was lucky I was still in the room at this time. The tavern across from the lodge was very close and the area is beautiful. Would like to stay again!

Lovely location and walk along the river. However, the accomodation was poorly maintained. The first room had a sewage smell possibly due to a burst pipe. There were large holes in the ceiling outside room and we had to request a room change which was kindly accommodated. The food at the tavern was not good - overcooked and soggy parmi.

A lack of HOT water. More coffee sachets would be appreciated. Otherwise everything in the room was A1.
