I liked this small hotel. It was a bit oldfashioned but my room was very nicely decorated. Breakfast ok. Reasonably priced. Free parking. Wi-fi was excellent which is not always the case in German hotels. Guests should be aware that reception is not staffed 24 hours, but late arrivals get instructions that worked ok.

Gute Unterkunft, leider war ein Weinparty unter meinem Fenster bis Mitternacht. Beim Buchen empfehle ich darüber zu informieren. Auch wäre es bequem wenn der WLAN-Gebrauchername beim Einchecken mitgegeben würde. Früstück war auch prima.

We have stayed here several times over the years and always enjoyed a friendly welcome and a relaxed way of going on. We enjoy the typical German style of a family owned, host on site experience... and the breakfast is good! Excellent location too. Bochum town centre is only a few minutes away on the frequent tram which stops nearby. Would recommend Haus Vocke to anyone!

Zimmer ordentlich und sauber. Service einwandfrei. Late check out war kein Problem und ein sehr leckeres Frühstück aufs Zimmer bekommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The hotel is comfortable but not modern. The bed was comfortable and the room warm (once you put the radiator on). Bathroom was basic, but functional. Breakfast was also good, though not a wide range of things - that's not a criticism, as there was plenty to eat! The hosts were helpful and friendly. The location (half way between the town center and the universities, five mins walk from a U-bahn station) is excellent. I would happily recommend it and would stay there again.

Zimmer mittelgroß, gut und sauber. TV mit USB-Anschlußmöglichkeit. Bad geräumig, alles gut angeordnet. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Dusche hoch genug für große Menschen und mit Temperaturwahl (optimal). Gratis Parken für Gäste. U-Bahn-Station in der Nähe, zu Fuß sind es 20 bis 30 Minuten in die Innenstadt.

My room was small but totally alright for one guest. Beautiful color combinations in the room.

Nice quiet suburban hotel with excellent transport link 5min to city centre and university WiFi was being repaired but there was an open neighbourhood WiFi suite which was adequate

Ein absolut empfehlenswertes kleines Hotel mit der BESTEN und nettesten Besitzerin die es gibt. Mann fühlt dich fast wie zuhause. Sehr leckeres Frühstück Wir kommen wieder!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, nettes Personal und super Frühstück.

Sehr nette Inhaberin. Zimmer sauber und Ordentlich. Leide etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Was uns am wenigsten gefallen hat, das es keine vernünftigen Vorhänge oder Jalousien zum abdunkeln gab. Es war bereits morgends um 6.30 Uhr taghell im Zimmer und dadurch leider eine kurze Nacht. Auch die Bettwäsche war für die Sommertage viel zu dick. Die Matratzen sind auch schon sehr durchgelegen. Alles in allem war es aber für zwei Tage ok da wir die meiste Zeit eh unterwegs waren.

Eine nette Gegend. Die Straßenbahn ist gleich um die Ecke. Die Betten sind super weich und bequem. Leider keine Klimaanlage und kein WLAN. Gerne wieder.
