A very bizarre situation. First off this is NOT a hotel - it is more akin to the palatial estate of a pro athlete or head of a cartel. When I arrived I had to walk around the entire property twice before finally encountering a small French Moroccan man and two housekeepers who spoke no English. Even though I had paid in advance they had no record of my paying or of my reservation. The housekeeper's made a point giving me a tour of the larger bedrooms of the main house where I would NOT be staying and directed me to, in their words, Le Bungalow. A block room in the exterior concrete Courtyard which was more akin to a servant's quarters .Even though there was a large Wi-Fi router in the main house regular WiFi was non-existent and the Wi-Fi password they gave me for guest(s) was useless. The pool area was nice but had not been cleaned and sometime so even though the weather was perfect to use the pool.... it's sanitary condition was questionable. The property sits on an elevated Hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a marvelous View. Strangely, given the meticulous upkeep of the main residence... I was the ONLY person staying there and my presence was treated as more of a distraction by the staff taking away from there cleaning and maintenance of the main house for an unknown future Patron. It really. seems a shame because the property is being wasted in its current state.
