What a place!! We stayed as a family of 4 (2 children 10/12) in an Oceanfront view room. Large double bed and 2 day beds for the kids! Clean and well appointed with a daily freshen up! We had the best time. So relaxing! A much calmer/quieter stretch of coastline (away from the busyness of Hiriketiya/ Weligama etc. Nice infinity pool to laze about in and plenty of sun loungers/cabanas for sunning, reading, drinking. Ocean, beach and waves were amazing, however, there are some serious rips/currents in the water so you may only be able to paddle around. No water sports. You can however do plenty of day trips (fishing), Udawalawa (to see the Elephants), to other beaches where you can surf/snorkel, cooking classes and Galle (old fort town - with hundreds of shops, cafe’s and restaurants. There is a good breakfast included in the cost of your room and a nice menu for lunch and evening meals. Plus there is a lovely family run restaurant across the street serving the best homemade currys and fish (caught by the family), plus a few others in walking distance. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help! We will be back!

Honesty probably the best beach resort we have ever stayed at. The place is small and intimate; literally right on the beach. Such a relaxing environment. The staff are very friendly and personable. The food at restaurant was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka… and very reasonable prices for the quality. The sunsets on the beach were amazing. It’s a quiet area, with not much to do but chill and relax! Spend 4 or 5 days here and you will forget all your worries in life! Highly highly recommend a stay here

Traumhafter Strand!

Wow! Et fantastisk hotel. Virkelig sødt personale, som er flinke og rare. Generelt er der en rar stemning på hotellet, hvor man føler sig velkommen i det sekund, man træder ind. Fed beliggenhed lige ud til den uberørte strand. Vi kommer igen og kan ikke anbefale nok!

Lovely place, really off but relaxing and beautiful environment. Add fans in the restaurant to get rid of the mosquitoes at night and it’s five stars. Unfortunately many of the dishes on the menu wasn’t available. Make sure to visit the restaurant across the street.

The service is impeccable, from arrival, to drinks at the beach to breakfast. The property appears to be relatively new, the rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms.

Dernier pour notre périple au Sri Lanka. Pas de regret d’avoir choisit cette hôtel. Le personnel est au petit soin. La piscine et la plage rendent le lieu magique. Nous vous profiter avec la fille des massages dont je recommande vivement. Nous y avons très bien mangé, choix avec menu traditionnel ou plus occidental.

The perfect retreat to relax for a few days. The staff were helpful and the food was delicious. There’s also a great restaurant opposite the hotel.

Wir waren 6 Nächte dort, haben dann aber auf 5 Nächte verkürzt. Essen war mega lecker, Personal außerordentlich freundlich. Zustand des Hotels ist gepflegt und wird auch in Stand gehalten. Die Lage ist sehr einsam. Es gibts nichts Drumherum. Außer sehr viele frei laufende Hunde. Man musste ständig aufpassen, um nicht von irgendeinem Hund angesprungen zu werden. Besonders schlimm war der Hotelhund. Das war auch ein Grund unserer früheren Abreise. Für zwei Nächte sehr empfehlenswert, mehr sollte man sich dann sehr gut überlegen,

La estancia en Lankavatara fue espectacular. El hotel se encuentra en medio de una playa virgen rodeada de naturaleza. El servicio de todo el stuff fue simplemente excepcional, son la esencia de este hotel. En especial nuestro camarero Malshan se encargó de que todo fuese perfecto. Nos hicieron una cena romántica en la playa sin coste extra, nos llevaban las bebidas a la hamaca, siempre con mucha servicialidad. Suelen tener este tipo de detalles. Las habitaciones muy modernas y bien equipadas. SIn duda el mejor hotel de todos los que estuvimos. Comida muy rica, todos los platos están adaptados a los gustos occidentales, a penas pican. El chef es todo un maestro. Sin duda un espacio para relajarte, disfrutar y dejarte llevar. Los precios de la carta y del spa eran moderados para el bolsillo europeo, Se puede ver el menu en su web.

Super schönes Strand Hotel. Ideal zum abschalten. Gutes essen, netter Service nur leider etwas langsam. Sonst alles Top.

The resort is nice and wonderful view of the pool, but the feel of it wasnt for us and tje wifi being terrible meantnww ciuldbt stsy are we needed to be able to do some onojne work. When we asked to check out 1 night early from our 3 night stay they said they would try to resell the room to refund it bacl it us but they never did. The resort being remotely managed means the onsite staff cantaoe aby decisions.

Chambre panoramique au premier étage spacieuse, très agréable avec grand balcon vue mer. Il n'y a pas de TV mais le wifi est bon. Arrivée en fin d'après midi. L'hôtel n'est pas très facile à trouver (petite inscription sur le mur à gauche de la route). Je n'ai pas trouvé le personnel particulièrement chaleureux et nos échanges ont été limités au strict nécessaire. Séjour de deux nuits. Premier diner pris au restaurant en face et le deuxième au restaurant de l'hôtel. Malgré une pré-réservation à 17 heures 30 pas de possibilité d'avoir une langouste 350g. Les repas pris avec mon guide et mon chauffeur étaient bons mais chers, sauf les desserts qui étaient moyens. Mon chauffeur et mon guide ont estimé que leurs plats de noddles étaient bons mais pas assez copieux pour le prix.Le petit déjeuner traditionnel est correct mais j'ai été surpris par le plat très chaud qui est servi dans un grand bol à la fin (peut être du riz au lait ?). L'hôtel est très isolé, la plage est propre mais la mer est très dangereuse. Il n'est pas possible de se baigner dans la mer.

Im Hotel angekommen wurden wir von niemandem Begrüßt, was wahrscheinlich an unseren Rucksäcken lag. Wir « Pöbel » kamen ja schließlich mit dem TukTuk und nicht mit einem privaten Fahrer. Allgemein könnte die Anlage wunderschön seien, jedoch laufen überall wilde Hunde umher, welche vom Hotelpersonal ignoriert werden. Die Hunde folgen einem überall hin in der Hoffnung etwas zu essen zu bekommen. Am Pool oder Strand eine Kleinigkeit essen? Unmöglich. Neben den Hunden ist der Service das wohl größte Problem. Komplett untrainiertes Personal, was hochnäsig über allem steht. Um ein paar Beispiele zu nennen: Die Hunde? Egal ob man Angst davor hat oder nicht, die sind halt da. Das Sri Lanka Frühstück? Gibt es nur, wenn man es am Vortag bestellt. Doof nur, dass einem das keiner sagt. Die Cocktails sind geschmacklich nicht gut, viel zu viel Wasser. Kokosnüsse gibt’s hier nicht. Tipp: Im Hotel neben an gibt es welche zu kaufen :) Die kaputte Klimaanlage habe ich noch gar nicht erwähnt. Als ich Bescheid gab, hieß es, sie wird repariert. Irgendjemand hat dann auch gegen halb 12 nachts etwas repariert,nur leider nicht unsere Klimaanlage. Falls ihr Pech habt und eure Klima auch nicht geht (oder fließend Wasser - fällt regelmässig aus) so dürft ihr auf keinen Fall die Türe offen lassen! Sonst kommendie Hunde sofort zu euch in’s Zimmer. Im Meer könnt ihr nicht baden, Lebensgefahr aufgrund von Strömungen! Das Abendessen ist geschmack. langweilig. Kühles weit vorher bestellten, sonst lauwarm.

Établissement magnifique au bord de la mer ... Chambres très propres , personnel disponible tout en étant discret. Restauration correcte mais un peu chère (vous trouverez néanmoins de quoi vous restaurer pour moins cher et très bon juste en traversant la route 😉). Établissement idéal pour un moment de "farniente" en fin de séjour.

Lovely stay, lovely staff and great food. The hotel is away from the main Tangalle town, but we enjoyed that. rooms are roomy and nicely designed and furnished. Food was great and our overall experience was that we will be back!

Really loved that hotel. The staff was kind, friendly and passionate. Some did not speak well english but they try and go fetch some help if they can’t help and want to learn. The food was good. Price in the range of new sri lanka (were everything is about 1000 rp) the room was clean, big and comfy. Only thing is the wave are too strong and it is difficult to swim in the ocean and it is not recommended.
