Located about a 5-7 minute walk from the closest bus stop. We didn't spend too much time here as we were spending only 1 full day in Hakone, but got to make use of the many public baths that the ryokan offered. They have 3 private baths that are available on a first come first served basis that are covered "outdoor" baths, an indoor public bath, and wooden tubs located on the balconies of some room styles. We stayed in one of the more traditional Japanese-styled rooms and loved the decor of the room. Additionally, it was one of the most spacious rooms that we had stayed at during our time in Japan.
My favourite of the baths was the private balcony bath, as the Ryokan supplies a lemon and a cedar block to add some fragrance to the bath, and it has a nice ambience overall. There is also a pull down set of blinds located on the balcony that are helpful in getting some privacy. I liked the outdoor private baths as well, however they were quite mosquito-y at nighttime.
I would recommend bringing a face mask for sleeping as the window covers do not block out much light, and the sun rises quite early (5-5:30am) in May.
We did not try the dinner as it was quite expensive (~9000 yen per person from what I can remember), however we were able to find a really tasty sushi restaurant in town that we went to instead.
We would definitely come here again, but would try to stay a bit longer next time. :-)
