Tow days before our check-in started demonstrations from miners fighting for rights, so they closed the highway so there was no way to get there. I called the hotel to cancel the reservation but denied it saying I had to do it through Expedia. They denied it to Expedia as well. They were well aware of the political situation and stopped answering the phone.

Nous avons eu un problème de chambre à l’arrivée mais l’hôtel a pu le solutionner le lendemain avec en plus un sur classement offert Le personnel a été très gentil Hôtel très bien situé À noter en plus lavage du linge Au kilo et pas à la pièce

É um hotel muito bonito. Fica em um dos marcos de Arequipa, o Portal de la Municipalidad, bem de frente para a catedral. Por estar em uma construção antiga, com paredes mais grossas, o quarto é agradável e bem aquecido. A estrutura do hotel e o atendimento dos funcionários são seus pontos fortes. Contudo, há alguns aspectos a melhorar. No nosso quarto, todas as tomadas estavam frouxas, soltando faíscas. Avisamos à recepção da situação, mas nada foi feito. O café da manhã também foi um ponto fraco. Era muito simples. Havia pães, café, leite e chá à disposição dos hóspedes. Além disso, podíamos pedir mais duas coisas entre as opções de um cardápio, tais como ovos, waffles, tamales, torradas etc. No primeiro dia, cheguei para tomar café às 9h30, o serviço encerrava às 10h, mas os pães já haviam acabado.

From the hotel staff, to the location to the ease of accommodations our trip here was wonderful! The rooftop restaurant is something extra special at sunset.

Katari was a beautiful hotel. The location couldn’t be better, right on the plaza. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. Our room also had a filtered water tap! This allowed us to avoid buying so many plastic bottles. Breakfast on the roof was such a treat. Good food and an unforgettable view overlooking the plaza!

Wonderful property

Katari’s location is second to none: right in front of the main city plaza. The rooms were nicely appointed. There is no AC, just a fan, which we didn’t really need to use during our stay (early May). Breakfast on the rooftop offers a killer view of Plaza de Armas with the cathedral and volcano as a beautiful backdrop. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The plaza can get noisy at night, but is safe with lots of police officers around.

Best possible location and the views from the rooftop are unparalleled with El Misty and Picha Picha as a backdrop. Service was excellent. Room was clean and tidy.

Wonderful staff.

The location is amazing. The included breakfast is delicious and the view from the rooftop restraunt where it's served is beautiful. We did have some trouble with water into our room with heavy rain, but it was more than made up for by the staff who were very helpful over the entire stay.
