Well renovated but a pity there is no character like beams which havebeen removed. The staff were all lovely. My dinner could have been warmer!

Quiet location but only 20 mins to Berwick upon Tweed with Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick within easy reach. Bedroom was huge with a comfy bed. Staff were pleasant. Good choice for breakfast and their evening meals were excellent. Restaurant gets very busy so its advisable to book a table.

Really good one night stopover en route from London to Edinburgh by car. Clean and comfortable room, which was thoughtfully equipped. Wouldn't hesitate to book again, nor to recommend to others.

Only one night, but clean and tidy. Easy to get a table for the evening meal, which was very good, and a good selection of drinks as well! 5 stars.

A lovely 2 night stay in a country village inn with plenty of parking. We loved the location, our room was clean with a comfy bed, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was of good quality. Great for exploring the Northumberland coast, particularly Lindisfarne, Berwick Upon Tweed and Bamburgh Castle - all close by.

The Black Bull Inn was great, lovely accommodation and food and great bar and atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely too

Stay for 4 nights March 2025. Rooms and bed comfortable. The shower was great. Had a power cut in village when there but breakfast staff managed to still provide a cooked breakfast. Good portions of food which set us up for a day of exploring. Menu is not extensive but the food is really nice. Staff friendly. Enjoyed our stay

Beautiful place tastefully decorated very comfortable and picturesque with amazing food.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in a beautiful room (Ford, room 2). The room was immaculately clean and very tastefully designed. The hotel throughout was clean and staff very polite and friendly. There was a lot of choice for breakfast and the food was served fresh and delicious. We ate an evening meal during our stay and were again spoiled for choice. The meal we chose was also delicious and the dessert was amazing too.

The room was great, as was the food and the service. The only thing missing for me was a lounge area where i could just sit and read or have a coffee.

We had an overnight stay on the way up and down to the Highlands It was very clean comfortable staff were very friendly and helpful Food was well presented tasty and served with a smile Will be booking again

Very comfortable inn with rooms. Room was very nice and food in restaurant had good choice, was tasty and offered lots of gluten free choices.
