We had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed every moment here. The location is beautiful and surrounded by nature: one of our highlights was watching a family of toucans right in the tree near our accommodation. It made the whole experience feel very special and unforgettable. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious every morning, fresh and lovingly prepared. The room was clean, comfortable, and we felt very relaxed during our time here. The drive down into the valley was definitely adventurous because of the road construction, but once you arrive, the stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere make it absolutely worth it. We would happily come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing stay surrounded by nature.

This property was amazing. It was serene and peaceful. The owners are truly welcoming they treat you like your family. It is run fby Family , and it truly shows and how they take care of their guest. There are knowledgeable and accommodating when offering suggestions and activities in the area. Our family of four stayed in one room. It had proper accommodations for all of us. Breakfast was made every morning and it was delicious. Highly recommend going to the area to stay this hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Rancho de Lelo. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. They booked activities for us in Monteverde and recommended a great restaurant. The breakfast was quick and fresh. It was a pretty property though we didn’t get to explore much as we spent most of our time up in Monteverde.

Rancho de Lelo is located about a 30-minute drive from Monteverde, in the peaceful village of San Luis. The ranch is family-run by Lelo and his three adult children, which creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. The staff are exceptional, and the breakfasts are both generous and delicious. It’s an ideal place to unwind in the evenings after a day of exploring Monteverde and the surrounding area. This is an excellent choice for families. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. We stayed in a unit with two separate bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, as well as a shared kitchen and living space—perfect for traveling with children. The mountain views are beautiful, and the night sky is spectacular, making it a memorable place to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Nice spot. Great view. One of the cheaper places to stay in Monteverde. Free breakfast is a bonus and they have a pool you can use anytime. The host was friendly and helpful. You do get a few small insects in the room but not many. It is a bit in out of the way so you want a vehicle if you're staying there.

This is a beautiful property and we truly enjoyed our stay. The family is welcoming and informative. The room was spacious and had high quality linens. Amazing views, delicious breakfast! The only downside was the drive out there...25 mins on single lane, bumpy dirt roads. Overall, the place was worth the drive, but

This was a delightful place! We loved the landscaping, the quiet location, and the beautiful views from our deck. The host/family owner was friendly and helpful in giving information and booking tours.

Very peaceful spot! The hosts are very kind and welcoming, and offer good support on how to get around the area and what to do. Don’t be afraid of the road in — it’s very manageable. Breakfast was delicious! Just be aware that it is not in town or walkable to restaurants, etc (20 min drive), but the cabins have a fridge and the hosts generously allow use of the kitchen with microwave, etc. We loved our stay — thank you Beatriz and family!

Lovely cottages, gorgeous surroundings and phenomenal owners made for a superb stay.

The room was larger and nicer than the pictures; it is about 20’x20’. The setting is very picturesque, tranquil, and I loved it. The problem is the road to get here which is very bad, mostly no pavement for about 5 miles. This dirt road has ups, downs, and curves with potholes. It took me 20 minutes to drive a 5 miles road. You need a high clearance car for this road. If it rains, you might need a 4 wheel drive. Besides the road to get there, everything is great. Wonderful hosts and setting.

Where to start!! If I could leave 7 stars I would! The hosts are the kindest, most helpful devoted hosts you could hope for! Not only did they greet me with amazing tips to get around, their family history is just amazing! It felt like it was a privilege to be staying on their land! Will definitely go back, Natalia and Beatrix, and all your lovely family and dogs, thank you for a warm welcome in your paradise!
