The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is an ancient building, do not expect perfect heating during winter. Food and massage are nearby, is very convenient. The hotel have an restaurant, the food is not bad

Very unique experience, located in the heart of the ancient city. Breakfast was not huge but very tasty and accommodated a few things for us. The staff was super friendly and some of them spoke good English. They even gave us a little present before leaving.

La verdad que es un hotel en pleno centro y es facil moverse por aqui.. a pesar de eso el hotel esta bastante viejo y creo que le interesaria hacer una reforma y ser mas accesible La entrada del hotel parece un restaurante pero dentro esta el hotel.. no se puede llegar andando al centro es zona peatonal.. hay como 10 o 15 min andando de donde me dejo el taxista.
