Surprisingly large room, very nice fancy bathroom. Only regret is not staying longer. It’s very unassuming on the outside but has very nice rooms and great staff.

Frukosten var ok, lite mer europeisk än japanskt. väldigt litet och trångt där man åt frukost. Ligger en butik mittemot som har öppet dygnet runt. Litet rum och ganska trångt, badrummet var fint och stort

Perfect location and very nice small hotel! Hard Japanese beds on the floor. Very nice staff! Small breakfast area with only 12 seats. Very limited selection and they also ran out of items.

There is a 24-hour convenience store and coin laundry opposite the hotel, both well within a minute walk. The washer and dryer are well maintained and clean by the owner of the laundromat. Hotel is nicely located, walking distance to transport and downtown Gion.

Small hotel with good staff in a fabulous location. Hotel offers great freshly ground coffee, even providing a coffee grinder in the room!

Everything was really clean and well maintained…and the staff was really friendly, multi-lingual (Japanese, English, French ++), and extremely helpful helping us troubleshoot a luggage forewording issue.

Quiet location in Gion

Such an amazing hotel, our favourite place we stayed by a mile. It's a lovely small boutique hotel but the rooms were very spacious. The bed was so comfortable, great amenities and the shower was amazing. This was our favourite place we stayed during our entire trip

Overall an OK small hotel but pillows are horrible. Seems like a very easy fix but after many years of reviews about pillows they are still about as thick as a pair of socks. Room smelled damp. We had another 3 days in Kyoto but decided to move to another hotel.

We wanted to book somewhere comfortable at the start of our trip knowing we’d be tired after 24 hours of travel and this was perfect. Location wise, we could walk to most of the places we wanted to see, the team were so friendly, accommodating and helpful and the room itself was stunning and so comfortable with tons of storage. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay

Our stay was amazing! Gion Misen Furumonzen was a great introduction to Kyoto. The location is a hidden gem while conveniently located across the street from a Lawson convenience store. The little bar was a sweet addition to the experience. This was by far the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in (in the world). The staff were considerate and helpful. We loved it so much, we booked an extra night. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

The garden room is very nice, but the walls are very thin. We could hear everything in the room above us.
