Clean, affordable with a decent bed and a good shower. Great value but can be a little noisy as next to a big student block.

Wonderful room in a good location to the Botanical Gardens. Cosy, all amenities including toiletries and lovely fresh pastries with beverages in the morning. Highly recommend. You might get noisy students outside the building in the night though!

Very good basic room to lay your head for a night for the price. Spotlessly clean. Pastry and coffee included the next morning, parking was tricky and we had to park on the road outside. My only concern that there was a lot of noise during the night. Staff were very nice. Would say again.

It is very clean and tidy, really helpful and friendly staff. No hot drink facilities in the rooms but for the price its a great place to stay if you need somewhere basic just to sleep. I'll definitely recommend it and will be back again next time I'm in the area

Student style accommodation surrounded by other student accommodations. Simple croissant and coffee breakfast provided. Cycle route to Peak District on the road outside. Hotel open to all.

The amenities within the hotel were good but the parking later sparse.

Room was very clean, small but perfect for a short stay. Parking was full when we arrived so had to park on the street.

It is what it is cheap cheerful in an excellent location you want for nothing ideal for a weekend or function.

Parking extremely limited - but the road outside is quiet and looks safe enough. Breakfast has gone downhill - zero choice on the pastries (but the one offered nice enough) and the hot water for the tea wasn't (hot). Considering the price it can't really be complained about too much, but this is functional not luxury - maybe the neighbouring (also uni owned) Halifax Hall might be better for not too much more?

Room was clean and good to have use of kitchen. Doors slamming meant there was a lot of noise. Shame there was no vegan option instead of butter croissants or a healthier alternative.

Good quality room for the price, a good place to rest your head for the night.

Reasonable price

Parking was tight but we managed. Room was adequate, fine for what we needed.

All staff courteous and polite, room spotlessly clean, a couple of minor maintenance issues reported such as showers not draining properly but this was dealt with properly. Lovely vibe in the hotel and would definitely stay again if in the area.
