Staff smelled like cigarettes, door to room did not fully close

Better coffee would be nice. Surrounding grounds could be improved to make property more attractive overall. I wonder if some full service RV hookups out in front might be good utilization of excess space.

It is a very nice motel with little cabins and there even is a very nicely done spa with hot tub. It was a very comfortable stay.

Very clean "ma and pa" motel. Problem with reservation not connected to their system, but resolved.beds an linens good. Front desk clerk deserves special recognition. First day solo on job, positive attitude to resolve problem. Goo value, would stay again.

This is a very nice establishment with friendly staff. They have a lot of amenities and are very welcoming to pets. We would happily return to Idle-A-While.

I arrived late and they had my light on in the room. My only complaint was the air conditioner had this noise every time it kicked on.

I would advise calling the property directly to book, it is much cheaper than paying Expedia rates!

The room was basically clean, but furniture was very worn. Bed was comfortable and there was a small frig and microwave, and a sofa. One lamp did not work properly and had to be unplugged. Toilet overflowed. We wiped up the water, but it came close to overflowing again, so we had to be very careful with it. It was okay for a quick stop, but the construction going on on the property would have made it a nuisance if we were staying longer. Hopefully, improvements are making it worth the hassle.

Despite the out-dated room, the friendly front desk woman and the fact that it’s big-dog friendly made this place 10/10 for me! Our 2 dogs got “welcome baskets” and there was a fenced dog area on the property. I’d totally stay again and it felt like the owner(s) are building a special place out in Twisp.

Cute place to stay! It was clean and comfortable. I give it 4 stars because it is a little over priced.

Convenient location as a stopover after leaving North Cascades. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, nice fluffy towels, good AC , quiet and large room with large refridge and microwave. Those are the pluses. On the other hand, I felt the room was overpriced given the condition of the furniture on the room and the fact that there is major roadwork being done in front of the hotel. I never did meet anyone from the hotel face to face , but I did get a phone call and text inquiring about my arrival time and given the code. I’m totally fine with that, but some others may not be. I thought the office was efficient in handling the check in

Idle a while was a comfortable, dog friendly motel. It was walking distance to several restaurants.

It was clean and quiet.

overnight stop on our way to the Hwy 20 trek into the Cascades -- Twisp was a perfect staging point.

They were very kind. Clearly in the process of taking the property from a bit run down to more up to date. Room did the job, staff were awesome. We’d return.
