Beautiful old building with spacious rooms but ambience and decor are stunted by poor management and maintenance. The bed frame was too big for the mattress, leaving a 1/2 foot gap all round the bed in which the meagre pillows often got lost. The mattress was too big for the bed linen. Everything seemed to be falling into disrepair - window screens with gaping holes, paint peeling off the walls. Our first morning there, they ran out of eggs at breakfast! Suffice to say, we didn’t stay for breakfast the next day. Shame for a cosy space.

The old house is charming and full of history. Great walks nearby. Plenty of hassle free parking. The staff were great.

Always enjoy my stay with The Olde Bell. Very friendly and accommodating staff, and the cleaning team does such a good job in making the rooms so pleasant to stay in.

Food was excellent although our deserts were not as displayed on the menu and had to go back. All was put right and thry were wonderful. Breakfast was awesome.

It is a quint little village. You do need a car to get around though.

A lovely location, our room was really nice. Last orders at the bar is a bit early - 10.45pm, no chance for a nightcap if you have been out for the evening. Good breakfast buffet!

Room somewhat tired. Asked for a plug for the Bath (it was missing) but it never turned up. All a bit shabby sadly.

This inn is quaint and the village is lovely. We booked a standard room. One of the reasons we booked this property was that on their website they advertised air conditioned rooms. The room we were given initially was dingy and not air conditioned. We asked at the front desk if we could have an air conditioned room explaining that that is why we booked the hotel. The manager was super nice and said he would be happy to upgrade us. We were out in one of their luxury rooms with a lovely claw foot tub. It was a fantastic stay for us. The breakfast was wonderful. So, if you are booking a luxury room, this is a great place to stay. I don’t think I could say the same for their classic rooms.

Good value, rooms comfortable but tired, service could be improved, quite a few ‘waits’. No non alcoholic beer in a pub was shocking! Drinks quite pricey.
