Nice little bar with good outside space great location a Ross from open forest. Room smelt of dog after a while and the room needs a new lick of paint as does other areas .not a bad place just a little tlc needed .also breakfast couldn't see a price anywhere so didn't pre order one as you have to do that. Would of been better table service

Room had a standing rotating fan which was useful. It had an electric fire which was modern. The headboard was wonky and had hairs on edge of bed near headboard. There were quite a few things that needed minor repairs e.g loose plug, paint mark on floor in bathroom, holes filled in bedroom wall near floor but not repainted, Hinge broken in wardrobe. Comfortable bed. Good free parking with enough spaces. Good location within 10 minutes walk to Lyndhurst. Across the road is park with ponies. On quite a noisy road with traffic at peak times.

Excellent breakfast and lovely family run business A little more attention is needed to details and cleaning tea stains on furniture, off set toilet seat, shower gel and soap dispenser were close to empty and pump dispensers were not very good All the staff and people were lovely and looked after us well We did not eat evening meal here but they have a small bar for drinks was a nice touch

The stay was really nice. Staff were very helpful and catered for anything we needed. The food was also excellent, both breakfast and evening meal, with the added bonus that it is cooked to order. It would have been nice for the rooms to have air-conditioning but that is the only thing I could fault.

Able to collect the key for the room before attending a wedding. Staff was very polite and helpful.

The hotel was very good, clean and well maintained. The staff were all helpful and polite. The weather was not great so we spent more time and we may have done, so it was nice to be comfortable and well looked after. Very pleasant stay.

Lovely, homely hotel just outside the town centre. Easy parking, lovely room and comfortable king bed. We booked the room with breakfast which was good value. Our room was on the second floor, which I didn’t see in the room description. The stairs are quite narrow on the tread, and steep, so if this is an issue check room location before confirming. Otherwise, an excellent place for a New Forest stay.

Really nice stay, staff very helpful and accomodating, we were on the top floor and the room was very warm but the whirlpool bath was an unexpected bonus. Only negative was people smoke just outside the restaurant and bar and with the windows open the smoke came im. A separate smoking area away from the hotel would be better.

The Hotel was very clean staff amazing,very good breakfast,I don't drive but lots of parking spaces. We where minutes from the new forest with lots of tracks to walk, we saw lots of new forest pony's plus a couple of Donkys. Close to public transport, so we visited Southampton in under 1 hour. Live entertainment at the hotel and a great bar,we enjoyed the stay and we will definitely go again,oh yes bathroom had a huge swirl pool bath

Ideal location for the town and the New forest. Just a walk across the road and you are in the New forest. Lots of parking available. Staff were lovely and friendly. There is a bus stop right outside in case you do not drive or wish not to drive. We did have breakfast and dinner, both of which were very good. Caters for breakfast and dinner and has a bar. Room was clean, had everything that you needed. This hotel allows dogs. There was no smell of dogs throughout the building and not one dog hair to show. I myself have dogs ,they did not come with us this time but maybe in the future. As a dog owner I do not like the smell of dog. So compliments to housekeeping and to the dog owners. I arrived in may, I could not believe that I slept under a 4.5 duvet which was nice and warm. I would recommend this hotel .Its great value for money ,great location.

Breakfast was adequate and fresh

Very pet friendly, most guests seemed to have dogs. Ideal direct access to heath immediately opposite hotel for dog exercise. Friendly and helpful staff always available.

The staff were excellent friendly respectful and couldn’t do enough for us a credit to the business Bibana and Hem. So very thoughtful thank you for looking after us and Bella enjoyed cuddles

Room was clean. Didn't like not having a blind in the window in the bathroom. Appreciate we were at the back of the hotel but there were escape stairs that could easily see in to the bathroom. Staff were lovely.

It's a short walk into town. The room was clean and fresh. We didn't need to interact with the staff much but everyone was helpful and pleasant when we did.

the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean . the staff were wonderful.
