The location wasn’t too bad as the neighborhood is nice, and shops are a short walk away. It’s a bit deceptive from the photos what the hotel looks like. It has a chandelier as a spotlight as if it’s a charming, sophisticated hotel. In reality, there’s no one in the hotel to help. One needs codes to get in the hotel and room. The communication was good as I had to call a number for the codes, because I didn’t see the email before I arrived. The room was clean, the single bed was small, and average comfort. Nice shower, but the mirror at the sink, outside the bathroom, didn’t have its own light. Why? The TV channels were a mess, and took certification to figure out how to get more than two channels. I know that the price was higher for the NFL game weekend, but $350 U.S. dollars was “highway robbery” for that room. I had a more luxury room at a Motel 6 in Palookaville, Iowa, and I got a big fat breakfast out of it for a $150. If you can’t get a real hotel, instead of a faux VRBO hotel, this is a good choice for 120 Euros max, only because it’s in a nice area in Rathgar.

When we arrived we could not get any access to the property or the room. Got access to the property when somebody came out. Then we found we had to email the company to get our room number and access codes. Other people had the same problem. Not good enough as we should have had this information before we arrived. Expensive and small room.

Very nice and clean property and easy access to and far enough away from the city for it to be quiet but plenty of cafes and shops around. Overall a very pleasant hotel

Lovely property in a very nice area with good bus route into the city, perfect for a night's stay. Lack of storage may not be so good for a longer visit.

Room and property were clean and just as described. Easy to get to via Uber/Taxi. Had some loud guests on our second night but that’s to be expected sometimes. All in all a great stay and would recommend. An economical option to staying in Dublin City Center.

A bit run-down, dark room, washbasin in the room instead of in the bathroom, hostel feeling and not as the pictures suggest, mediocre value for money. Friendly staff, nice open space area with free tea and coffee

Very convenient for catching the local buses and felt very safe traveling alone.

Convenient location. No staff, but check in was quite easy as they send detailed information. Only downside was our fan was broken and it was a bit hot.

Pathetic place and very dirty with no service

I was given a basement room which had a serious problem with the stench of sewage very hard to bear. Level 1 rooms are on a semi basement level and there was a smell from the time I went down the stairs. But into the room it was unpleasant. When I returned from a walk I realised the window had been open in the room as it was now cold with the curtains blowing. When I closed the window and then went into the shower area the full impact of the smell hit. Really disgusting. Unfortunately it was too late to make other arrangements and I spent a very unpleasant night and got out as early as I could the next day. Don’t risk it. Find another place to stay. If you have an issue there are no staff here who will help you. One security / maintenance person on site who is not customer service trained.

Better instructions for parking - where AND how to park - people park and block your way in dont like the sink outside the bathroom the shower drain was blocked/water filling up mid shower - tray not deep enough towel refresh should be a given - too onerous to email ahead every day asking for fresh towels would be good to have spare towels/pillows balnkets etc too also the bed moved around too easily-wouldnt fix it in place necessarily (just in case soemthing rolls under and you need to move it) but bed kept sliding

Despite the misleading property photos showing a receptionist etc, there ae no staff onsite. Stinks of tobacco, stained carpet in room....

No 9 Rathgar was an unpleasant experience. The pictures did not accurately depict our room. There were bugs, hair from previous guests and stains on the sheets. I have pictures of it all. Do not recommend staying at no 9 Rathgar

Lovely comfortable bed. Clean room. Good location.

The room was clean and newly redone. However, I did not know it had no reception which caused issues in getting my delayed luggage delivered. The hallway smelled like sewage. It was truly disgusting. My room fridge was warm and I couldn’t adjust it so my leftovers spoiled. Housekeeping is upon request only.

This is not a hotel- it’s basically a room to rent with no physical welcome or service and no included room cleaning. Virtual check in was efficient but the room was tiny, barely room to get around the bed and the only basin was right by the bed, not in the tiny space that held the shower and loo. Literally no space to put suitcase except across the door - not ideal if emergency exit required. Very very disappointed indeed. One light bulb not working. Overall very unwelcoming and very poor value. We will not be staying here again.

The room is small and has a comfortable bed. There was no water provided in the room. Unfortunately there isn’t good soundproofing and I could hear doors closing, tvs and loud conversations happening well into the night which prevented me from getting decent sleep. There is a walk in shower with good water pressure but the spray from the shower was coming out onto the floor while I was waiting for the water to heat up. Then the drain couldn’t keep up and the water overflowed onto the tiled floor. There was also some mould where the tiles meet the shower tray. I wouldn’t consider this to be a 4 star hotel, in fact it’s more of a hostel or at best a guest house.

Room was ok. Very clean. Kettle, coffee machine, iron, hair dryer, towels etc. Not a lot of space. TV doesn’t work properly. No staff on the premises and no reply to an email request for information.
