Cosy room. Lovely garden to sit outside and admire the countryside.

The room was lovely. Very comfortable with lots of character and facilities making it a very cosy experience. Fran was very friendly,welcoming me on arrival and showing me where everything was including the invitation to sit in her beautiful garden. The fridge was stocked with fruit and milk and there was a selection of cereals, teas and coffee on a tray for breakfast. This was everything I needed. Parking was so easy on the drive and right by the door to my room. Altogether a very comfortable stay. Thank you!

This is a superb place to stay and easy to get to Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Rutland Water. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with a large comfy bed. I had my coffee outside in the little private courtyard, which was very relaxing. The owners left some yummy cakes and fresh fruit for us which we very much appreciated. Lots of hot drink choices and the little kitchen was a real treat too. We will be booking again.

Fran, the owner, was great; very friendly & helpful. The accommodation was clean & well-appointed. All in all, I'd recommend the place for a weekend stay.

I received a warm welcome and the room was clean and spacious. There was fresh milk and fresh fruit available in the mini-fridge, which was thoughtful; also, delicious home made chocolate cake! This suited me perfectly for a one-night stopover on my travels.

Very comfortable accommodation. Fran is an excellent host providing very tasty cake and a fruit bowl as extras. Gave good advice about things to do and see.

We stayed for a wedding- even though the check in fell at a difficult time for the wedding (at the Old Cow Shed) Fran went out of her way to help us get the key, and then gave us a lift to the venue. Room was warm and comfortable with tea, coffee and fresh fruit. Fran also facilitated a late checkout. Couldn’t ask for anything more, and significantly better than the alternative of the travelodge!

Hard to imagine a lovelier B&B in a stunning country setting and environment steeped in British history. At a reasonable cost.

We really enjoyed our stay at the stables. Lovely cosy accommodation with a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Our host couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
