The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Especially in the bar and restaurant, were the food is gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The room I had was at the top of the property and as such was a little warm but would have been unbearable if the weather had been hotter. The room was okay, rather dark until the morning when the sun made it very bright, too bright in fact. Parking was easy. Staff were helpful and super friendly. There was an event on in the evening which meant food took rather long to arrive but was o wasn’t charged for it was an unexpected bonus. Overall a nice enough stay.

Decent value for money

The room was clean. The staff was not there to greet us. good parking and no food or drink. The kettle in the room needs replacing.

Lovely spacious room. The staff was very friendly and the pub food very well served.

Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay, hopefully with the means to cool the room down when needed.

The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. I arrived about 4.10 p.m., but there was no one on Reception, and at first I couldn't access the hotel at all as the main door was locked. However, someone appeared from the private flat above after a few minutes. During the rest of my stay, there was no one on Reception, so the hotel felt a little impersonal. I needed more tea bags, toilet roll and another towel, and had to call the landline to have these put in my room. I also stated whilst calling that there was NO hot water in my room on the washbasin, and although the first shower I had was warm, after this the shower was never warm or hot, but freezing cold. I know that someone had checked this, but still no hot water came through either the washbasin or shower at all. I feel that this is a basic commodity, and is not acceptable these days. However, I realise I had booked the hotel at a reasonable rate, but still I would have expected hot water. On checking out, again no one was around, and I left the keys in the glass "goblet" I had been told about.

I was not told anything about the sandwich bar being open in the morning... I assumed no evening meals as there was no sign of the restaurant being open. I was prepared for eating elsewhere. The hotel is located at a busy junction where traffic is constant ... I managed to sleep between 1 and 5am

Lovely staff

Clean and stylish room. Close to motorways but still in the countryside.

Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely stay here again.

The single room is small and basic but excellent value for money in a convenient quiet location near the M1. On-site restaurant is superb quality and value. There is also an attached sandwich bar which does a very decent low priced breakfast. Would most definitely stay again if near the area,

Parking is easy and next to the hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Location is good for access to the M1. Our room was clean and tidy, with tea/coffee facilities available. P
