Very quiet, clean and modern. Staff very friendly

Helpful friendly staff, room very clean

Parking required giving the desk clerk our keys so he could park our car. That was a little odd. The room was comfortable and cozy. The “balcony with beverages”was just a rooftop patio with no chairs. The beverage cart was empty and set aside. It looked like it wasn’t used recently so that was disappointing.

The staff were all outstanding, helpful and friendly. Everyone was responsive and someone was always available. The location was convenient for visiting different Berkeley neighborhoods and to transportation (buses, BART, Amtrak). I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Clean and upgrade property. Didn't like the mattress (saggy and not firm enough) plus road facing rooms are noisy

I was really surprise at how much I liked staying here. The staff was very kind, it was very clean, comfortable, safe and conveniently located. I loved that car was parked in a locked garage adjacent to the building and not in a open lot somewhere else. It’s not the most exciting location but if that doesn’t matter to you, the good thing is that it’s very convenient. There’s gas stations, restaurants, Target, 4th street and access to the freeway all within reach. My only concern was the layout of the shower in the bathroom (in my room, not sure if other rooms had this issue). If you wanted to get your shower going (to warm) before stepping in, it appears you couldn’t. The sink appeared to block access to the knobs. You have to get in and then turn knobs and get shot with cold water first. The next time I showed I figured out I was still able to slide the glass door open to at least turn the knobs, slide it closed and then get in the other way. So it ended up working out, lol. It was just awkward. However, I’d definitely would stay here again. :)

This hotel was exceptionally clean. The only quibble I had with my stay was the scent of the toiletries, which I found unpleasantly sweet. Also, one of the bottles wasn't working properly.

Very accommodating staff, helped arrange for an ADA room. Quaint, colorful, nice experience and will use this location again!

This is where we stay when in the East Bay. It's economical yet feels like what might be a more expensive boutique hotel. The rooms, the beds, the service... all great.

I would recommend this hotel.
