Do not use the services offered by the reception staff…they are off the books, not hotel sponsored, and of poor service quality.

Avenida was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Africa. Rooms were clean and newer. WiFi was very good and the location convenient to most things. I would recommend this hotel

Excellent location. Great Staff on roof top. Lobby staff especially the door openers were extremely glum. I felt unwelcome when entering the hotel. Maybe automatic doors could be a solution.

Great stay

Clearly this property is a step above all others. From the guest service to the restaurant staff to the doorman. Everyone was very professional and courteous and polite. The front staff assisted in locating a covid19 test center which relieved me of all concerns. I truly enjoyed my stay and no doubt when in Maputo again thia is clearly my favorite place to stay.

A nice hotel. Clean room and it is in excellent location. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent. However service seems a bit in disarray and managers performance need to be checked. We had several people in out team and booked separately. It seems to treat us each differently. I also confirmed (by direct email) airport pickup as I was arriving late. To my horror there were no pickup! I thought this is exception. But another member had the same horror next night!

The hotel is as expected for a 5-star in that region - not outstanding. The restaurant is good, but a bit overpriced when compared to same level restaurants in the neighbourhood. The pool, gyn and rooftop amenities are good, but the pool is much smaller than I have expected. The service was good, very friendly staff always ready to help out - they have fixed the safer in my room and I've even borrowed an adaptor for free after mine burnt out. The room and cleanness was as expected for this hotel category. The only important setback was the internet connection. It was very slow every day and in one day it was completely off - in all areas of the hotel. The staff informed that there was a technical problem, but they could not fixed it on that day.

Muito Bom Hotel Aconchegante, acolhedor, pessoal eficiente, simpático, muito limpo, boa comida, bem localizado, com diversas atrações nos arredores. O único ponto menos favorável é o prédio em frente, que tira um pouco da beleza e da vista pra baia. Mas no geral nota 9.9.

I regard Hotel Avenida as the best value for money in Maputo. Professional staff, good service and good business support conditions. The hotel offers a quiet and professional atmosphere and is located within walking distance from a big variation of restaurants. Also the inhouse restaurant and bar is good. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
