I had a reservation and a room was not available at the time of check-in. I asked if my guest and I could each have a glass of wine for the inconvenience and to have something to drink while waiting for the room. Make a long story short, the hotel staff including the manager on duty did not accommodate the request. Personally, I believe a glass of wine is a reasonable ask for the inconvenience; however, the hotel staff thought differently. The unfortunate thing is the staff kept blowing me off. Simply unacceptable and unprofessional. Outside of this incident, the hotel was decent, overall.
