Great atmosphere, staff and food selection. Nice rooms, huge lobby and plenty to do. The pool is also great Great location and beautiful approach

Fantastic location but the check in was extremely slow, we had to wait over 45 mins in line to receive the keys to our room. The luggage service was also slow, I asked them to allow to take my own bags to the room. Other than that, room was clean and met our needs, it’s not the first time we stay here, but we decided to provide feedback to see some improvements in the future.

We have used the Gulf hotel many times over the years and always enjoyed our stays in both the hotel rooms and apartments. The staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. The pool is lovely and there are loads of on-site dining options. Or if you don’t want to eat in the hotel, there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. We love the place so much we are already looking at booking another stay next year!

Great facilities, close by restaurants and easy to get around from the hotel. Staff were great.

The Buffet could use some additional selections

Nice hotel close to the shopping mall and only 15 minutes from the airport. Pool area is very tired with broken tiles and faded woodwork. Sunbeds are old and not enough side tables. Nice breakfast with huge fresh selection. Lots of other nice restaurants on site too. I would recommend staying here but pool area definitely needs a massive refurbishment. Hopefully now it’s a Marriot they will make the improvements needed

The location

This is my 5th stay at the hotel due to working in the area and the first time during Ramadan. I bought breakfast when I booked but was informed that rather than the normal 6am opening it was 7am due to Ramadan. No good for me as I had to be on site for 7am. No mention of this when booking the hotel. The hotel allowed me in to the breakfast area but others who had paid for breakfast in the same situation as me, weren't so lucky. Only cereals and coffee were available at this time. The quality of the food, especially the hot dishes is definitely not as good as previous stays: less variety; poorer presentation. Previously I would have scored the food 9/10, now nearer 7/10 - change of chef or Ramadan influence? Finally, coming down to dinner about 7:30pm, the whole dining area is devastated, not one clean table to sit it with mess everywhere. Again, on previous visits, staff would clear away your plates immediately, this trip, plates were left stacking up with food on the floor, tables and seating not cleaned up. Must say that I was disappointed. I understand that it is Ramadan but a large majority of the guests are non-muslim with a job of work to do in KSA. I may try another hotel for my next visit.

Great hotel great staff. Very clean. Internet great. Food great. Nothing to complain about. Worth every penny.

Very good location walkable to most of the good resteraunts and pubs

The Gulf hotel is in an excellent location for dining options. I’ve stayed many times and this time was lovely to see all the Christmas and National Day decorations. The effort they put in made our stay more special this time - magical!

We found the hotel very enjoyable, although the only couple of complaints was that we were given just one bath sized towel and a hand towel for our second day, for two people. The other issue was very poor WiFi which I've never had before in this hotel. Other than that, the stay was very good.

I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. All the staff, the restaurants in the main lobby, the room service, everyone and everything worked out so perfectly to allow us to have a great and relaxing vacation. We will definitely save this hotel for the books seeing this won’t be our last time there. Thank you guys for everything you do. :)

Great location and what an amazing stay at this hotel. Variety of restaurants, gym was good and the spa was amazing. Highly recommend the Iranian and Thai restaurants. Warm and very friendly staff.

The brunch was delicious and such a great experience with the amazing live music. The kids loved the pool.

The hotel is lovely, good location, very clean and comfortable. The only downside to our stay was the work men doing work in the next room at 10.30pm!! My husband had to ask them to be quiet. We were given a free late check out for the inconvenience.
