Lovely location and clean room . Staff friendly if your late or around 5pm just go straight to the bar to get key . Only complaint was to no mirror in room and the guy who checked us in didn’t know if we had breakfast but that’s no major issue . I’ve heard food is great but also Kendal is really close .

Nice clean rooms but certainly not luxury as stated. If you have a downstairs lodge you can hear everyone upstairs going to the toilet & banging about. No iron or ironing board in the room which you would expect in "luxury accommodation" I'd expect more for £130 a night.

Great place to stay, excellent clubhouse with great staff and food. The only downside was that the suite we had was very small, with no seating and no wear to put your suitcases, and only one TV in the main bedroom, which wasn't that great when sharing with others in our party.

Lovely room and en suite. Great breakfast in the club room. Only negative was no WiFi.

Absolutely fantastic. The bathroom was one of the best I have ever used fantastic shower and bath. New facilities. Truly exceptional. The food in the restaurant was great and the place itself is amazing. Highly recommended.

Great stop for us on the way up.to Scotland, but also looks a great location for a golf break.

Brilliant location for our Dalesway walk and staff were just brilliant as our time changed a couple of times during the days walking meaning we were later than expected but staff dealt with brilliantly and always with a smile

Clean and comfortable. Made very welcome. Shower is lovely. Room was very warm even with radiator turned down, as I was on ground floor couldn't really have windows open at night. Bit disappopinted milk and bottled water not replenished or bin emptied.

Nice clean room, quiet location on the edge of the town. One thing though, the room I booked said countryside views? I think it would be fairer to say countryside location, there was no view, apart from the carpark.

This was a great place to stay. It was a bit far away from the city center. The room was very nice,, and we would stay here again but definitely better for stays related to events at the site or playing golf than a pass through see Kendal location

Overall very good experience - the hotel, the rooms, cleanliness, staff, value for money, check in, check out, standard of rooms and facilities - All excellent. Except that there is cow dung smell when you open windows because of the farms and animals in the nearby houses, sheds etc. I understand its not related to hotel, but just rural locality. So i would still rate the hotel and stay as excellent.

The room was immaculate, clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tip top! We shall DEFINITELY stay again! The only drawback is that it’s too far to walk to town but there are plenty of taxis approx £6.. Unfortunately their restaurant wasn’t open as it was a week day but their recommendation of Bangkok 7 Thai restaurant was spot on and a “Must go” place to eat- it was superb!
