The owner Liz and staff were exceptional. The hospitality was great. First day home and already made a referral. They went above any expectations we had.

We enjoyed the quiet surroundings and beautiful garden setting with both sunny and shady areas. The room was very clean and well equipped. The host and her family were very kind and helpful and looked aftet us very well.

Liz runs an awesome B&B that's outstanding value for money. She provides a substantial continental breakfast daily that includes a delicious fruit platter. We also really appreciated the kitchenette in our spacious room with modern ensuite and the peaceful garden. In addition to having excellent rooms, Liz went out of her way to assist us in travelling to 'Eua and arranging an excellent driver, who took us on a lovely tour of Tongatapu as well as trips into town. We highly recommend this place! Mālō for everything, Liz!

If you’re finding it hard to choose a spot to stay for your trip in Tongatapu look no further! Lis and family went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even Roxie the dog played her part adding to the overall welcomeness and sense of being part of a home away from home Winnies is known for Island wide. Everything is as listed and more. No doubt in my mind, Winnies will be our island HQ in trips to come!

Clean, well designed, practical, friendly host

The owner was really looking after me and helped me with several requests. Breakfast was good as well with fresh fruit, cereals and bread.

The place is very clean, quiet, and safe. There is a shop close by and pick up order place for meals. I highly recommend staying here when planning to visit Tonga. They can help arrange airport transfer and island tours

The place is comfortable and clean. Room and bathroom are spacious. The best thing by far is the owner, Liz. What an amazing woman. She is so friendly and helpful. She made my stay in Tonga the best!

Very good accommodation. Basic but with everything you need. Wifi included and smart TV in the room. The rooms face a very pleasant garden, with a porch perfect for enjoying the tranquility. The family that runs it is very kind and helps as much as they can. We would definitely stay again.

This place gets 10/10 from me and my wife. Only came here for 2 days but everything was amazing. Loved the facilities and the hospitality so much. Clean cozy and tidy! On our first night we got there a bit late and the shops were closed. Liz was so lovely and gave us some of her dinner. We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely be back again! This place was lovely to stay in. Much better than the hotels in town. You have your own space, ensuite bathroom, small kitchenette that enables you to eat the complimentary breakfast or zap something in the microwave. The property is in a pretty garden that Liz takes great care of. Liz, the host, was wonderful. Kind, patient and caring, she will help you organise things like airport transfers, rental cars, restaurant recommendations, etc, and even gave me a piece of mango cake one night. Winnies was a great place to stay on my holiday, and I am so grateful to Liz for all of her help. The only downside is that it is a 45 minute walk to town (area where there are some cafes) or a 60ish minute walk to the wharf (where I did most of my activities), so you would either need to rent a car or be up for some decent walking. The walking itself is fine, but there's just lots of dogs around and sometimes they bark at you and are a bit scary. But this is a small thing. Everything else was fantastic and I would love to stay with Liz again! (if she will have me)

The lady owner of this B and B was the most friendly and helpful person I could have asked for. If back in Tonga I would seek to stay here again.

We spend a couple nights here after our trip across Tonga islands. And at the Winnies we found what we needed so much. Just take a rest from the everyday rush at some clean and calm place. Our stay at this family owned B&B was really pleasant. I would say the other accommodation providers in Nuku’alofa could learn a lot from them. I felt that I’ve got what I’ve paid for and it was not too common on my travels here. Fair enough! Because in most cases it was unnecessarily overpriced somewhere else. Everything is brand new and you can feel the renovation of whole interiors. We appreciated usefull kitchen in our spacious room, personal bathroom and lovely fresh breakfasts. We didn’t miss anything. Thank you Winnies and see you soon.

Prepared to wait up to checkin for late flights. Extremely hospitable and friendly. Local knowledge & connections. Best place i stayed in 3 weeks of Polynesian travel. Great breakfast and facilities. Wonderful garden. Loved it there
