We had a lovely and memorable stay at Upendo Beach Boutique Hotel. The location is simply beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. The staff were exceptional—especially Theo, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Although I made an error in my booking by reserving the two-bedroom villa for only two adults, the hotel management showed great understanding. They kindly offered a generous solution by asking us to cover only 50% of the additional amount, which we truly appreciated. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The entire property is well-maintained and provides a wonderful boutique experience. One recommendation: it would be great if a pool heater could be added, as the water can be quite chilly in July. Overall, we enjoyed our time very much and thank the team for their hospitality!

I loved the entire set up..the pool was right across from the famous rock restaurant..you can see the sunset right from the porch and the restaurant was absolutely delicious

11/10 best vacation + resort I've been to this far. We could've stayed here for a month and still wouldn't have been enough 😭 Thank you to the Upendo Beach staff for being so nice and welcoming, we can't wait to come back!! If you're in Africa and looking a quick getaway or want to come to Zanzibar, def consider staying at Upendo. Only three private rentals on the property, loads of activities, wonderful staff, 10/10 food, and best view on the island ☀️☀️ PRIVATE suites only so you feel like a celebrity - we loved the vibe and will be back in January to stay in the large villa that sleeps 10!

Beautiful secluded private villa right on the beach with private pool. Personal Butler assigned to villa was very responsive. In addition to bring all meals to my villa the butler helped with setting up excursions/tours as well as required COVID testing for departure. Owner was friendly and stopped by a couple of time of times to make sure things were going well.

Fabulous facilities with amazing service and food. The villa is amazing in design and functionality and has great views on The Rock . The place is perfect to relax and chill while still having enough flow of locals and other tourist so you do not feel completely isolated. We truly enjoyed the place and we would definitely come again !!
