It was so nice except in the morning

Nice room and staff very helpful

The hotel itself is very nice. Old building. But there are parking garages on either side. Did they not see these when they chose this site? Also, we were there on Day of the Dead, so the little plaza out front was filled with a rough bunch of partiers. Nice hotel and staff and breakfast, but not so nice out front.

Everything was great but around 630am without fail we would hear furniture moving above or below our room the 5 days we stayed there.

Everything was excellent except for one night that we had a couple of friends over that were staying at a different and they were kicked out at 10pm even thought nowhere did it say anything about guests or visiting hours.

The staff was amazing and very helpful! We had an early flight leaving Mexico City and they prepared us a to-go breakfast.

What a beautiful boutique hotel in an Unbelievable location. A 600 year old historic building only 2 blocks from the Zocolo. Renovated perfectly with old school charm and modern amenities. The on site restaurant is fabulous. We ate there twice on a four night stay. Simply put this place is a cannot miss if you can find availability, few rooms. Worth every minute.

Decepción total Las personas de la recepción no tienen idea del concepto de Hospitality. El ruido que se escucha de habitación en habitación es insufrible. Es complicado abrir y cerrar con la llave el cuarto. El baño es más chico y feo que el de un hotel de una estrella. (Me quedé en una “suite”). Las camaristas tocan todo el día a pesar de que se les pide silencio y privacidad. El desayuno es malo, mediocre y los meseros tienen nula experiencia. En el restaurante del hotel (que es de lo más rescatable) nos sirvieron un atún echado a perder. Está bien ubicado pero todas las calles de alrededor son peligrosas, huelen terrible y hay un campamento de mariguanos instalado justo en la entrada. Ahórrense el fiasco, la Ciudad de México tiene muchísimas otras opciones. Soy una Local.

The building is absolutely stunning, our room was really nice and the staff are amazing. The attached restaurant is really good. I would have this as a 5 without reservation but there were rave concerts in the adjoining park both days on the weekend that went until 10-11 at night

This hotel was a great find. I would recommend this spot to anyone. The renovation is amazing and the staff was top notch. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will definitely stay with them again if I ever return to Mexico City

I cannot say enough about Casa De La Luz. The hotel itself is amazing, it’s classic and modern. You’re right in the middle of everything but as soon as you step inside, it’s peaceful. The staff treated us like family. The helped coordinate dinners and rides to make our visit amazing. To add, my son got very sick and needed medical attention. They helped me with a doctor that did house calls and spoke English. My son felt better the next day and we saw a doctor at a fair price. I’ve already told my 6 year old son he has to have his wedding there to pay back their hospitality. This place is 5 stars!! Don’t skip the rooftop restaurant either, one of the highlights of our stay.
