Comfort Condo, 1 Bedroom: The pics in the ad are of different suites. I now realize I got the comfort condo and even that was incorrect as it was a studio not a one bedroom. None of those pics represent the space I got and paid for. They should have to advertise one unit specific to what you are getting or have a drop-down to show each different unit. Clearly a bait and switch! I will attach pics to show how the laminate flooring was completely in a shambles with big gaps everywhere. It was a mess. I informed Avalon only to hear that the flooring is the same throughout the building and not their responsibility. It’s a condo… fix it! What I can’t figure out is the many good reviews. Is that too part of their gig?

Wifi didn’t work well. Instructions on how to get into the building weren’t clear.

Luckily, ran into staff on the way in. ASY is part of a Condo/Appt building. Concierge at from desk has nothing to do with them. I have no idea how I'd have gotten into the room if the staff person hadn't walked out of the service elevator at just the right moment. Handle on the tub water facet fell off into the tub while I was in it. Heavy brass and if it had hit my foot, there would have been a real problem. No wash clothes except for "dehydrated" face wipe thingies. Bed was very soft, unlike most hotels. Weather was cold, but room was warm. I just needed a place to sleep and it was sufficient. The price was acceptable. They seem very keen to keep laundry costs down. Repeated statement about increased cost if you get makeup (or bodily fluids) on a towel. One such statement is all that is needed.

Great location, right size room with key appliances

The room was clean, and the location was amazing. My only comment is I think it should have more cleaning products, at least proportional to our stay. There was not enough DW pods or extra trash bags for us to change the trashes.

Avalon Suites is one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in. It is very comfortable and safe, with a fully equipped kitchen. The location is excellent and the walking area around it is absolutely beautiful. They provide parking, and there are also several indoor parking options nearby. The service is outstanding and exceeds expectations.

Unit was old not like the photos. Bed was for a student who’s used to sleeping on a IKEA or sofa bed mattress. Not room for luggage: bathroom poor-shower curtain falling off railings. Apartment and halls ways smelly or peoples food. Poor concierge-don’t know what they are doing. Really bad experience. Stayed one night and checked out.

Can’t beat the location. The condo was spotless, modern, and quiet. On the downside, there were no drawers for clothes anywhere, just one hanging closet. There is no maid service, or front desk, as this is not a hotel. Staff are contactable by phone. I would stay there again.

There were far too many emails and texts with requirements regarding this stay. I received 14 communications in the week before my trip. Many correspondence required response or had threats of fees. The condo was not in good shape, the headboard was peeling and each morning we would wake up with black flakes on our sheets. The unit was dirty and the door handle was loose. And despite these poor conditions guests there are emails, texts, and posting of fees for guest damages. I would not recommend this company to others and would not like to stay again.

Pictures show a much nicer place than it actually is. The floorboards in our apartment were poorly put together. The bed was broken on one end. The duvet cover was… non existent. They promise a luxury stay and get away with it because of the building location but this place is far from luxury. Just a heads up.
