Penilaian & Ulasan Keseluruhan Minster Loft

We stayed at Minister Loft for three nights in June. Our tastes may be different from most, so though we loved it, be aware that it is up several steep and narrow flights of stairs. This is an attic apartment, with windows that look out to York Minster on one side, and over the old city on the other. The big church is only about a hundred yards away, and so close that it takes three camera frames to catch in in panorama. When the carillon cranks up, it is an event! Ceilings are slanted and low, with wonderful old wood beams protruding; tall people like me need to remain alert. The kitchenette and bathroom are up to date. Minister Loft is delightful if being in a historic space is your cup of tea, and this was the favorite of our places that we stayed while travelling in England and Scotland.

アパートの１室に４泊予定で、チェックインチ時間等メールにて連絡。 施設からの返信メール無く、不安な気持ちでアパートへ行ったら、カギのボックスがナンバー式。 チェックインディテールもなかったので電話をするとボイスメッセージで営業時間外、翌日のオフィスアワーに連絡くださいとしかなく、緊急連絡先等のメッセージはなかった。 娘がヨークの大学に留学中だったので、仕方なく寮で１泊し、翌日施設事務所に連絡を取りチェックインしました。 事前に宿泊料金を全額支払い済みだったので、１泊分の返金を求めたところ、施設マネージャーへメールしてくれてと言われ、メールにて返金要求しました。 しかし、施設マネージャーは休暇で３日後にしか返信できないとのオートマティックメール。 ３日後に返金に応じる旨のメールがきました。 アパートの立地はヨークミンスター寺院前で、キッチン付きの部屋で良かったのですが、対応の悪さが目立ちました。 次回は泊まりません。

Great little apartment next to the Minster everything you need for a short break.

50 stairs separate the loft from street level but the view is great. Nice views from all the windows except the one that opens onto the roof, which you might expect. The apartment isn't for tall people though and above 5'8" might be a little cramped. My wife and i now know how Quasimodo got his hump. That said I would not hold it against the nicely laid out apartment with its exposed 300 year old wood beams. A lovely place to stay right in the heart of the old city and immersed in history. Easy access to all the major attractions. In summary I would say its nice and quiet, very secure and safe and easy access to shopping, attractions and pubs. I will be back in the future..

Excellent location being so close to the minster and a short walk from the train station. A quirky, well presented flat which would suit shorter to average height people very well (I'm 5'8" and did quite a bit of head bumping!).

Great location right next to the Minster and central York Fully equipped kitchen and plenty big enough for 2 people Very good use of space but probably not suitable for someone not able to climb stairs Bit quirky having to go through Dentist but was never a problem, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again

Great unique and quirky loft space. Very central right opposite Minster Cathedral. The bells rang for about an hour on the Sunday midmorning, but don't know if that is a regular thing. The loft was cosy and warm. Too warm at times but you can adjust the heating. I don't think the bedroom window opens as i struggled with it,so a shame no air can get in as the bedroom can feel a little stuffy at times. The only difficulty we found was using the chubb key through the very first entrance as was very stiff to turn. On the first night out heading back, we thought we were going to be locked out. There is also a very loud noise that comes from the fuse box at times. I think it would be a good idea to have a visitors diary there to look back on other peoples experiences. I would recommend it for it's very central location, close bedroom view of the Cathedral and quirky design. Not so ideal if you are tall and can't do long stairs to the top.

Was excellent - location was perfect, just what we needed

Fabulous location, lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It’s called minster loft for a reason, 3 flights of stairs via a dentist reception, low beamed ceilings, and sloping floors & half a sloping bed !!! Great views but early morning wake up calls by the Minster bells and street noise. We came early December ( Fri-Mon) for the Xmas markets, which were mobbed on the Saturday. Great modern shower room & kitchen.All in all we loved it!

This apartment couldn't have been better a fabulous location, spacious and welcoming. 3 flights of easy to climb stairs.

Minster loft was chosen for location - next to York Minster and facilities i.e. Kitchen/living room and separate bedroom. It delivered but there are some challenges. Four keys were found in the lockbox and depending on the other tenants, 2,3 or 4 keys needed to be used. Try to arrive during office hours in case help is needed. Wifi was imperfect. Stairs to the loft become very winding. The loft is not suitable to anyone over 5 foot 9 inches unless you have a hard head!

Hidden high up in the heart of the old city streets sits the Minster Loft. Deceivingly big in size, offering everything we needed for a quirky city break. Perfectly located with immediate access to the main York streets, attractions and opposite the impressive York Minster. The property included a ecent sized open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area and a snug size bedroom with plenty big enough bathroom. As you would expect from a property in the centre of a city parking options were either paid council run parking sites, but as we were staying for 3 nights and the prospect of 4 full days without really needing the car we decided to park for free on Hospital Fields Road - a good 25 minute walk but still convenient given the cost for parking. York as a place to stay is up there as one of our favourite city break locations in the UK, loads of attractions, restaurants, bars with a laid back atsmosphere.

The apartment location couldn't be better and it was full of character.

Great little apartment. Not so good if you are tall or not good with stairs. Neither of which we are so great for us .if i was to be picky I would have liked a full view mirror somewhere in the apartment. Other than that can't fault it. Had a lovely stay .

This was such a sweet, clean location tucked in the rooftop. The Loft was clean, and had all the necessities for making meals and cleaning up, and doing laundry. The view of the York Minster was amazing and just a step away from restaurants and shops.

Very cosy, clean & quirky flat with a stunning view of York Minster. Easy check-in & check-out. Perfect location for exploring the city.

住宿很好，很乾淨，需要物品一應俱全，而且在市中心很方便，也有煮食用具可煮食。因我們沒有太多行李，所以上樓梯也很方便，樓梯會經過牙醫診所地下與一樓的房子，沿著樓梯上去需經過它們才上到頂層，是很特別的體驗，整體住得很開心，窗外風景很好，睡房也看到教堂，花灑水壓與溫度也很好，晚上洗澡很舒服！特別推薦所有人也預約，但樓底不算太高，個子太高的要注意！

Lovely stay. Clean and a nice view out of the bedroom window. Limited headroom, up lots of stairs and a bit strange going through a dentists but you get used to it quickly. Step out of the front door and you are bang in the centre of York, so the location couldn’t be better. Should we return to York, we will greatly consider staying here again, and we really enjoyed our stay.
