The staff were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay and couldn’t do enough for us.

The staff at the Hotel Ocean were extremely friendly and helpful. Great view from our room on the top floor.

Nothing to dislike the food was excellent the staffwere faultless could do enough for you they always found time to talk all in all i would give them 20 out of 10

The room was clean and very welcoming when we arrived. The staff were amazing and even when I called them to inform them about my wife's birthday, they were able to decorate the room for us for her surprise. Breakfast was always awesome and I love everything I tried. We really did enjoy ourselves and it was a brilliant holiday.

We only stayed for one night. Room was a good size, warm, comfortable and clean. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we had an evening meal and breakfast. All food was cooked to order. It was hot and fresh with high quality produce. There was an extensive choice on the breakfast menu. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. This is a hotel that offers top quality and service. I'm sure we'll stay again at some point.

An absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Ocean. Such a lovely hotel, clean, modern and very well located on the sea front. Breakfast was really good with a great choice. My fave was the fresh fruit salad, the yogurt & compote so tasty. Although the sausages with the full English were good too! We cannot wait to go back.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was good, room was clean i think the matress could do with updating, could feel every spring, not very good for my partners back condition,the room was far to hot even with windiws open and fan on, also some very inconsiderate guests above keeping us awake.

Breakfast very good, catered fir all diet types. Good vegan and vegetarian menu. Rooms veey tidy and clean. Central for all piers and amusements. Staff very friendly and good customer service. Second stay , very enjoyable.

Great all round

A lovely stay right on the Great Yarmouth sea front. The hotel is decorated to a high standard with quality materials, and the breakfast was excellent, with staff being friendly and attentive. The only negatives are that the internet was very slow and intermittent (not a major problem when you're on holiday) and be aware that parking is on street in the local area so you might have to hunt for a space and be wary of leaving anything in your car. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would happily stay here again.

Wifi not in our room (6) on the 2nd floor. Other area ground floor excellent. Room very good.

I have stayed at this property 3 times in the last couple of weeks and every stay has been perfect. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. The position of the hotel is perfect lovely views across the beaches. Breakfast amazing even on my last stay I needed to be away early so the chef made me a sandwich to go and a Coffee in my takeaway cup. I haven't had chance to sample the food in the evening yet, but on my next return to Great Yarmouth I will.

Great room and lovely staff. Only down side was quite slow internet in room 6. But will be back!

Lovely top notch breakfast!

The hotel was of a top quality, with high standards throughout, including a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was; excellent, well cooked and well presented. Staff were quiet and courteous, though could have been more chatty. We stayed in room 7 ) which was lush, with lovely touches and tea coffee and juice were plentiful. The shower needs some attention. Lots of dirt and grime washed off the joints in the shower when showering and the temperature and water pressure did not meet the quality of the rest of the room. Though the bathroom was very clean overall, including fresh white towels. Sadly our stay was ruined by a drunk guest in the room next door (room 6). He decided to attempt to knock the hotel front door in just before midnight because he couldn’t figure out how to open any doors with his keys. We thought he was going to murder everyone in the building. We had to call the owners. It was apparent at this point that the owners do not stay in the building during the night and we were locked in the building with other guests with no security, concierge or night staff. This was quite scary. Someone else had called the police due to the threatening behaviour of th guest locked outside. We then had to spend the next hour waiting for the police and the owner to settle the drunk guest. The owners did no follow up and did not check in with us the next morning. Also just before the thuggery we heard every aspect of the guests up stairs having sex. This ruined our stay further.

We had a mixed experience during our stay. On the positive side, the location was absolutely fantastic (as close to the beach as we could have got) & parking seemed very straightforward (we visited out of season, so we just parked further along the seafront). Our room on the top floor was beautifully clean and both looked and smelled lovely; the rest of the hotel interior was equally spotless. A quick note for future guests: the staircase is a little tight and it is a long way up to the top, so those with mobility issues should definitely request a lower floor. We didn't try the restaurant, so we can't comment on the food. Unfortunately, the stay was really let down by the state of the entrance. There were cigarette butts on the floor when we arrived, and they were still there when we checked out. As someone who strongly dislikes smoking, I found this disgusting; it really impacted the first impression of an otherwise lovely place.

Great stay option for breakfast fantastic, staff very friendly, will definitely be booking again 😃
