I think the property is lovely. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The room had all of the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. I will recommend it with an honest report of concerns:
1) It appeared that staff did not have thorough training in the hospitality industry, particularly in food management.
2) The lack of availability of food and beverage menu items was unacceptable.
3) Adherence to dining hours was unacceptable. For example, if the breakfast buffet was said to be available at 8, the food wasn’t ready to serve then.
4) The toaster didn’t work.
5) There wasn’t butter and jam available for bread or sugar or honey or walnuts, etc. available for oatmeal, etc.
While those may seem like small things, they are important if you want to grow the business beyond the region to include more international travelers.
