The Quest Hotel is perfectly situated on the waterfront in Cairns. We booked the trip to The Barrier Reef and were pleasantly surprised it was just a short walk to the marina to connect with our tour boat. There is a restaurant on the roof that , weather permitting, is a lovely restaurant with evening sunset views during your meal. There is only one lift which can be a pain if t are people coming in to use the rooftop restaurant and you’re waiting for the lift to eventually arrive on the 7th floor or ground floor as a hotel guest.

Well located to some great restaurants and bars, good shopping and entertainment. Nice modern clean place to stay.

Perfect for what we needed for our two nights in Cairns. Great location for restaurants, reef tours, swimming and Cairns Koalas! The air con was great after warm days out and about too. Staff super friendly and helpful on arrival :)

The staff at Oaks Cairns were absolutely lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful room and great central location, walking distance to most activity meetups, great restaurants and shopping. I had an unfortunate experience at the Double Tree by Hilton and ended up needing a room last minute, even though Oaks Hotel Cairns had nothing to do with the poor experience at Double Tree Hilton, they gave me a free drink voucher to help improve my night. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

No quarto que nos colocaram havia barulho do caminhão de lixo de madrugada. Reclamamos, nos mudaram para um quarto na frente, com vista e mais espaçoso. O wifi é ruim e não há limpeza diária, mas o quarto estava limpo. A equipe é atenciosa.

Room was spotless however just know if you want your room cleaned it is an extra fee. Staff were great very friendly and helpful.

The room was in good condition. The staff was friendly, informative, and courteous. Very quiet and comfortable room. The aesthetic is modern and beautiful with lots of seating areas.The rooms are not ideal for takeaway food. There's a hidden gem rooftop restaurant (Oaks &Vine) which offers delicious food options, the wait staff are very professional and courteous, and has the best views of Cairns. Any guest staying longer than 2 nights will realize you're basically paying for the location. This hotel offers basic lodging necessities. There's a no-housekeeping option which can be ok for very short stays but longer than 3 days seems a bit unhygienic. Otherwise, the guest must pay for daily housekeeping at $30/day. No laundry services here. The pillows are not that comfortable and extras are not available. Standard minibar offerings but no complimentary water. This is not typical of 4-star hotels; it's 3-star at best (by US standards). I would caution solo female travelers that the hotel is safe but shares the same plaza with nearby restaurants and Night Market. There is no hotel pool but the esplanade (public) lagoon is directly outside the entrance which can be fun for guests with children. The hotel is in walking distance to the Marina for any GBR tours, the Night Markets, and Cairns shopping centers/mall. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to guests for shorter stays or to those who will be out/away most of the day. Decent experience.
