A lot of steps down to the river and shopping centre or downhill pathways to walk. Okay going down hard work walking back if elderly. I managed both ways with my walking stick but had to have a little rest half way back to hotel. (I’m 81) plenty of parking area & nice areas around to drive to. Worth a visit. 👍

Clean room.. a long walk to it but lovely. 4 poster bed and lovely breakfast.

Staff were all great and extremely helpful. The water pressure in the shower was the best of any hotel I’ve stayed in.

The room was up to standard. The lock on the door was old and not fit for purpose, the carpet in the room was dirty and had stains on it .every floor creaked when walked on so you could hear people waking by most of the night. Also the bed was uncomfortable.

Had a great stay at the hotel, the lady at reception at check in I felt didn’t really want to be there, I found the price of the stay slightly high due to the maintenance of the room, the view was amazing though, the room was very very warm and paint work bad. The breakfast was really good and service was very friendly. Had a meal on the first night at the fat badger which was very nice the atmosphere was great.

Clean room but very tired need a refurb. Couldn't open windows. So very stuffy. Staff were great. Very busy around hotel so no parking close by that was avaliable. Bit of a trek with luggage as no drop off zone.

Breakfast not included so cannot comment. Bar dinner night before excellent, wonderful beer selection with helpful staff offering free tasters to sample. Room was clean, bathroom clean. Special event on main floor really loud, but our room on 3rd floor well out of earshot.

Nice breakfast, usual selection. Bar and restaurant was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Upper floors look very run down.

A bit dark inside and the room was a little small although very clean. Had a great meal in the Fat Badger restaurant

Great welcoming staff. Old hotel, old spots of pee on the floor from dogs, old furniture all togheder. Old but clean. The owners must to invest, the staff does the best with what do they have. Food excelent. Also a big problen: NO Heating source available in the room. The radiators was cold, the windows (in multiple rooms which I tested so far) are NOT closing properly in order to keep the cold outside. So please invest in windows and heating, and maybe new carpets on the floors.

Very good hotel with plenty of character. Top class breakfast choices. Fantastic location with on site parking.

Perfect position for a hotel, brilliant views of the harbour and surrounding areas.

As good a hotel as any that ive stayed in and ive stayed in hundreds. The staff are to be congratulated for their customer support.

We booked a Deluxe Room. Bonus was we had a sea view too. Beautifully furnished, lovely en-suite shower room. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the hotel had a lovely vibe. 10/10!
