Was hoping for a little more for the price, but one of the few places that can offer large enough rooms for a family. Was not told the hotel rooms do not have A/C until we'd checked in. Staff were responsive when we asked for linens for the pull out couch. Location was convenient for us.

I had the worst check in ever. Between the hotel and expedia they had not communicated and therefore couldn't check me in. Even though I had a confirmation email and had paid for the hotel. I spent over an hour trying to check in and was told I had to phone expedia myself to sort it out. They were constantly unhelpful moving me from person to person and then saying they would phone the hotel to discuss of which they then didn't. In the end, after an hour and 15 minutes, I had to pay for the hotel room again, even though I had paid and expedia had taken my money. Once in my room, I then spent another hour and half on the phone to expedia and talking to the hotel to sort it out which resulted in us missing out on a swimming session (the reason we booked this hotel) and our dinner reservation. Due to this delay, my son has missed dinner ( at a nearby restuarant and I called and they couldn't fit us in) Still with the check in not sorted, I was told by the hotel staff to use uber eats as it would take over an hour and half to cook one pizza (off their menu) for my son, it was now nearly 9pm. Eventually, the hotel staff saw my distress and said that they would call expedia in the morning and sort the situation out for me. The lack of communication between the two companies, the expectation for me to pay again and to phone and sort this out myself even though I had emails and bank statements to confirm my booking, completely ruined our weekend away and time at this hotel.

Hotel itself was very well presented, clean & our room was nice. However, I feel it should be clearly listed that a hotel of this standard does not have air conditioning in the rooms, even when it’s 30 degrees outside. The room we were in was clearly fitted with an air conditioning panel & vent, but was over-stickered to say that air conditioning was not provided. Instead we were given a fan and there was no window that opened wider than a few centimetres either. This resulted in a very unsettled, uncomfortable nights sleep which was really disappointing. Would not encourage anyone to stay here in the hot summer months unfortunately. Would be a lovely hotel otherwise.

This hotel is in a great need of a maintenance and TLC. There is a lot of areas showing wear and tear. Our room was ok, few things were broken, tv and sockets wasn't working as the fuse was blown, bathroom looking tired, breakfast was good, as it was the service. Staff very polite and helpful. Good and warm swimming pool. Surrounding areas of the hotel are not maintained at all, grass overgrown, weeds around, dead flowers in the pots, etc. This hotel can be vastly improved in all areas.... It felt like this place is lost in time...

Very good hotel and service. From front staff to restaurant Staff, cleaning staff to gym and pool staff. Everyone very pleasant, attentive and ready to help. Only downside was room 125 has a smell of dump.

Immediatley before checking out, I checked my Credit Card and noticed the £50 Authorisation fee against it - all good. A short time later, I checked it again and noticed a number of pending charges against it totalling £290. This caused my some anxiety and after trying to call your reception front desk several times, I decided to drive back and speak in person. Although the staff were polite, they could not explain why these charges were being made. The said to call back in 2-3 days to see if there was still an issue. Fortunately, a wrongly charged breakfast was refunded, and the remainder of the charges disappeared. Shame I had to chase up and correct the faulty charges

Nice hotel in a great location, staff are all very friendly. Parts off the hotel could do with an upgrade (like the bathrooms) but the only real issue with the hotel is that the rooms are no soundproof so you can hear all other guests very clearly at night

Stayed here for a celebration weekend, stated it on booking however not even a congratulations on arrival. We've stayed in other hotels for special occasions and always at the least got some response from staff. Check in was a bit of a mare. The lady next to me also had the same problem. At no point of booking I was told they would take a holding fee. Put my foot down and they agreed they didn't need it however this should have been stated on booking. The receptionist really was in his own bubble. Had to ask several times to get an answer about dinner reservations and then later on had an incident with other guests damaging fire exits and emergency signs, he was cheerful and happy about hearing they were damaging hotel property. Cleaning and waiting staff were impeccable and lovely. Hotel itself was alright, nice room but I'd expect that paying over 100 a night. There was an event on and for some reason we were not told on booking, probably would have considered a different hotel due to us actually needing sleep. Our room allocation was incredibly poorly done. We were on the same corridor as a lot of event people and also very close to reception/bar area. I had stated we had a child in our booking so it's very strange that we were placed there, unless they randomly allocate. we were kept awake until 2am with people running and shouting continuously. The staff dont care about controlling customers behaviour at all. pool staff weren't interested in health and safety at all.
