Wonderful property in Iceland with kind and attentive staff.

Very comfortable stay at Kvika hotel. The hot tub and sauna were the highlight! Clean and tidy, good breakfast and welcoming staff. We had a pleasant stay!

Great little place for a stay near Selfoss. The rooms are clean and easy parking. Hot tub and sauna out back is a nice addition, and the free breakfast in the morning had a wide selection, from waffles and pancakes to bacon and eggs. The lady at reception was very kind and welcoming. Thanks for the stay!

By far the best value of the hotels we stayed in. A welcoming host who offered excellent travel advice, free cookies, cake, tea and coffee in the evening. Breakfast was the equal of hotels costing twice as much. Honestly, I was kind of sorry that this was the first hotel we stayed at in Iceland, because it made all the others seem disappointing! Would definitely go out of my way to stay here again.

This place was wonderful! I was able to check in early after a long flight from the USA. The staff was very accommodating. The sauna is awesome in the breakfast was outstanding.

This was a jewel in the middle of (almost) nowhere. It was 8km from town with great restaurants. Not walkable, but very pleasant stay and great breakfast (included).

Sehr nette Begrüßung auf Deutsch - wir haben viele Tipps und Restaurantempfehlungen bekommen. Hot Tube war klasse - mit einer indirekter Beleuchtung wäre es perfekt gewesen. Zimmer sind schön, sauber und geräumig. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Stets kostenfrei verfügbar: Kaffee/Tee, Obst und Kuchen im Foyer. Viele gemütliche Sitzecken (hyggelig) und ein schöner Wintergarten runden das Ambiente ab. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier voll - Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert

We booked a stay in the morning on the very night. Unfortunately, the weather then considerably deteriorated and a red alert was enforced on the whole region, which prevented us from driving to the hotel. Considering the short delay between the booking and the red alert, we ask the hotel if we could make an arrangement regarding the reimbursement of the night, which was refused. We feel like this was an exceptional situation of “force majeure”, we haven’t use the facilities and it is likely that the booked room would not have been booked by someone else anyway due to the short delay. We feel like we have been robbed from our money and that this hotel takes advantage of tourists. I have been in other hotels where arrangements were possible despite a so-called “48h non-reimbursement policy”.

The property location was excellent. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and, bathroom was clean and water pressure was perfect. The front desk staff was very courteous. Tea, coffee, cookies, water, juice, cake was there all the time for the guests. Breakfast was very good. The hot tub and sauna was available 24 hours which was so good and relaxing. The hotel being away from the ciry lights next to the mountains made the Northern lights view extra clear and special. Would love to stay there again.

Wonderful, warm and friendly. Being able to get a warm drink anytime was such a bonus and a lovely touch.

A gem of a hotel with very friendly staff and policies (e.g. unrestricted access to coffee/hot chocolate machine, fruit and biscuits, nice hot breakfast always included). Cozy spacious rooms, away from light pollution, so can hunt aurora from the bedroom. The only addition I would recommend is cold plunge bath - as the hot tubs are very hot (42) - and perhaps covers for the tubs so less moss flies in. An excellent stay, thank you!

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay when you visit Iceland. The staff are amazing. The area is nice and quiet. Great breakfast and the sauna and hot tubs were perfect.

Well maintained place with beautiful scenery around it. Stopped for a night as we were traveling all around. Couldn’t have been better.
